I always get a bunch of pesos to keep in the arm rest when traveling in Mexico... if those people are faking it, they;re doing a great job and should perhaps consider a job in acting.
When I first moved to Houston there was a dude playing sax at a 7/11 type joint around 1 am. I gave that guy a 20. I think the last time I bought some roses a dude was selling at an intersection. Down on St. Croix I gave a rasta dude a 20 one time and then he kept hitting me up when I’d run into him around Stixx. I told him, man, I can’t keep giving you 20s dude. He said he’d wash my car. I said ok. He scored a bucket and a rag and gave it a pretty amazing wash given what he had to work with it was double impressive. Then he scored several more cars and I found out a couple of nights later about his new business. Very nice guy, Washington was his name.
