Seems simple, but the population of Ukraine is scarcely 2/3 of the amount it was when we started 'helping' so when we say 'helping' I don't think it means what most of us think it means. So what does 'help' really mean?
Help would mean getting the needed weapons to the Ukrainian armed forces when they really need it. Biden has done a very poor job of that. When the Russian tanks were lined up like ducks outside of Kiev at the beginning of the war, Biden would not let them have to old MIG aircraft that was available. At other times he’s slow walked the deployment of missile systems when they could have done some good. I don’t know what Biden’s strategy is. He can’t articulate it, and neither can the people under him. When Tony Blinken is the best person in your entire cabinet, you know you have assembled a group of third and fourth rate advisors.
That's how politicians roll. They never admit when an action doesn't work, they just say 'you didn't do enough of it'. They 'double down' on all errors, throw in more and more weapons and if things get worse they just say we needed even more weapons, and sooner, and bigger bombs. Threatening Pres. Putin did not produce the action the Biden administration had inadvisably predicted, so they just say we need to kill more people and make bigger threats and then it will all turn out fine.
