Hitler also felt that nationalism was critical to the success of socialism and he opposed "international Marxism", which is why he killed so many socialists. As is typical, socialists are more likely to be killed by other socialists than by anyone else.

He killed a lot of people to cement his power, just like Mao, just like Pot, just like Stalin, etc etc ad infinitum.

I have a book from 1983 about "computers in business." It refers to a study that showed that computers, at that time, were doing the work of 3 trillion people. You know, about 1000 times the number of people alive in that year. My guess is that it would be hard to estimate the number of jobs computers do today because the kind of things that they do for us would be nearly impossible without them. AI is a revolution, just as computing was a revolution. Human wants are limitless, and now we'll see that our children and grandchildren will benefit from the incredible productivity and easier lives that AI will create. Unless, of course, your ruin it with socialism, as that will become totalitarian in the end and governments will use AI to control every aspect of the lives of our descendents while feeding them paste.and entertaining them with a daily 2 minutes of hate against enemies of the regime.

Socialism is a death cult. It turns against wealth creation and innovation.

They are literally singing about the man as though he was Jesus Christ.

I guess you only see cults where they don't exist but refuse to see them when they do

Stalin certainly killed far more communists than the west could have hoped to accomplish without nuclear war.

no one ever said Trump would become a Hitler (in fact I said he would not), just that he has some things in common with the man

Socialism/communism is a bloody thing indeed.

People that want any form of it are nuts.

maybe, maybe not, it's hard to say yet, but one thing we can agree on... things are gonna change

human labor may go the way of horses in the past, once AI starts creating the next generation of AI, it grows exponentially

I have worked in software development and tech my whole life. I noticed many of the applications and systems we were building could change the way departments did their jobs. In the beginning there were concerns that by automating so many processes and workflows it would cost jobs. Instead what we found was the technology open new areas for the business to expand. Services that were very expensive in the past became more readily available. Things like online trading opened up new business opportunities. Increased customers meant more staff was necessary to manage accounts and portfolios. More IT staff to build and maintain the systems. I think AI and machine learning will change the way we work but I see it freeing up peoples time allowing them to concentrate on better more important things.

The biggest area I see for concern are people employed to drive a vehicle. I have heard estimate like 5-10% of the workforce is employed to drive by I find it hard to believe.
I think those will be the jobs most impacted by AI. So many companies are working on self driving and even self flying vehicles and they are getting better all the time. I see this technology being readily available in the next 10-20 years. Can the economy afford to lose that many workers especially in jobs with a decent pay. The other industry is the service industry. I can see many workers in establishments like fast food restaurants replaced. I think there is already a McDonalds in Texas run by robots.

corporations are getting cheaper to now, outsourcing if they can, it may create jobs too, but will it create as many as it replaces

heck as far as we know it could increase war, as ai robots follow all orders, even suicidal ones

swarms of little AI drones that attach themselves to humans and explode, would not have to be anything fancy

what kinda virus can AI create, human or computer virus

And the NAME of his party was . . .?
His "outlawing" communist socialist "parties" were actually attacks on leaders that threatened him, not renouncing the ideology. Mussolini - a Hitler ally - insisted he was a socialist.

"Some people did something and some people need to do something and die for the greater good"....... Signed, socialism and communism.

What's that they say.... there are too many useless eaters?

All Ponzi schemes eventually run out of the blocks to build the base to feed the top.

lol, what are you gonna do about that random disaster that will happen somewhere in the world sometime in the future, oh nothing, not able to stop what you don't know is gonna happen or something? same is true here, no one knows what is gonna happen, nothing you or I can do to stop the future, it's coming, doesn't matter what we do...

    That is purely speculative.

There is also nano-technology, which promises to revolutionize industry. We are not far from the day that you can print almost anything, so long as you have the basic building blocks in the form of atoms and molecules. AI will accelerate that. Star Trek used magic for replicators, these will be the real thing, albeit within the confines of physical laws.

Am I at the traffic accident? I'm asking having already pulled one person out of a wreck. I'm sure that's what a leftist tells themselves as they drive past an accident.

Yeah, you keep telling yourself that doing nothing is the way to go.

    I'll go another way.

"Why storm the beach at Omaha, we can't stop the future".
