What do I know about Russia? I know that Obama's attempt to reset relations between America and Russia failed.

Putin needed to win the Presidential election . Don't forget that nobody knew him in 1999 .
Even Western media were totally thrown initially , not even realising that he had headed the FSB and had been an intimate part of the Yeltsin Mafia family for some time ( say 2 years).
Anyhow , there were lots of reasons for needing to find a way to get him elected and be popular and obeyed --- marginalising an old enemy is a standard solution . Make them Bogey Men or worse .
Unite the country in a common cause is Chapter one --- and don't forget that Government had totally broken down and that the country was lawless and made up of competing Mafia or organised crime gangs . Fortunately Putin was backed by the St Petersburg Tambov gang , arguably the most powerful and ruthless outfit in the world -- let alone Russia
The evidence for the bombing of Russian cities by the FSB is there and quite easy to find if you try .
In Ryazan the FSB was literally caught red handed . Banged to rights .
Totally detailed (alleged) evidence is banned in Russia with guaranteed elimination for those that try to beat the system .
A whole string of people have been murdered who tried to spill the beans from Russian MPs Golovlyov and Yushenkov through to journalists Schekochikhin , Politkovskaya and ex FSB agent Litvinenko .
But nobody really cares in the West and Russians are either brain washed into official stories or sensible enough to keep their mouths shut .
The matter should be of interest because it is an amazing incident of mass deception .But , more seriously , it provides the missing threads that explain how and why the second Chechen war was engineered , and explains how Russia got itself into such a present day mess in the Caucasus --- to the extent that norther states have formed themselves into an Emirate and Russia is engaged with it in a Civil War that is hideous almost beyond belief and which has spread into mainland Russia . Other than the infrequent mainland atrocities carried out by Emirate Freedom Fighters , the war is barely noticed or reported outside the combat countries .
It represents chapters of History that have yet to be written other than by a very guilty Russia that has so far hidden everything it possibly can --- see Babschenko and Politkovskaya for "starters" .

It's horrible when somebody so obviously has a battery of evidence to support a general point .
It's time for you to report back to get some new orders .
Your best option is to resort to standard name calling and suggest that I am a paid MI6 operative or a UK senior suffering from paranoia .

Tell us that the idea that the bombings were overseen by Nikolai Patrushev is nonsense . The same guy who became head of the FSB on the very day that Putin became Prime Minister . The same guy who had worked very closely for Putin since 1995( Putin promoted him) and who remains a close friend today

I expect it is more English blah blah blah . Pity it is so specific and (*)(*)(*)(*)ing .

It wouldn't surprise me if face to face you were a fundamentally OK kid .
Obviously you would show me complete respect or suffer dire consequences .
But best of all for you is to get a job and some experience of real life .
I can do what I choose , when and where , because I have been financially fortunate and hard working .
Get yourself out and about in this world and stop repeatedly just showing us how naive you are .
Believe me , education is a great thing and you need it .

Your response just confirms my guesses. You fear me, fear much. This is why It's impossible to get from you no answer to any question. Do not fear. I do not hurt women and children.
As to the third point. What about bloody Russian history?

As a geography major, I can name many cities in Russia. This is coming off of the top of my head:

Murmansk, St. Petersburg, Torzhok, Balashikha, Moskva, Rogachev, Suzdal, Ivanovo, Yaroslavl, Smolensk, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Tolyatti, Astrakhan, Kazan, Makhachkala, Stavropol(Gorbachev's hometown), Yekaterinburg(Yeltsin's hometown), Perm, Taganrog(close to where A. Chekhov is from), Tomsk, Omsk, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Ulan Ude(capital of Buryatia), Zabaikalsk, Yakutsk, Arkhangelsk, Berkakit, Novorossiysk, Sochi, Voronezh, Neftyugansk, Tyumen, Barnaul, Surgut, Neryungri, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Blagoveshchensk, Nakhodka, Norilsk, Magadan, Providenya, Uelen, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. I also know of the Kuril Islands, the Kamchatka Peninsula, the Kuzbas region(where Novokuznetsk is), the Angara, Ob, Volga, Ussuri, and Amur rivers, the Sikhote-Alin mountain range, the Ural mountains, the Valday Hills, the Kola Peninsula, the Central Siberian Plateau, the Lena river. This without using wikipedia.

Balalaika is a stringed instrument shaped like a triangle. Vodka is liquor made from potatoes and sometimes grains. I never heard of bears on the streets. I have heard of tigers being on the streets of Vladivostok though.

The capital used to be Petrograd(St. Petersburg) and then it was moved to Moskva. Moskva is not on the Volga, but on the Moskva river. St. Petersburg was built out of a swamp as a window to the west and its designs were based on cities Peter the Great saw in western Europe.

I have always respected Russians and the few I know all drink heavy but work hard. I tend to think Russia's people are not to different than us Americans in the way we live. But I admit I am fairly ignorant of your culture.

I hope you are able to share more about your culture before this thread is over.

I've been reading about Russia since I was 13. One of the first things I did was learn the alphabet. I don't know the language very well.

I've wanted to travel to Russia since I was 13, but there have been things stopping me from doing so.

A tough and brilliant people whom Americans need on our side. The way their governments have always treated their people is none of our business.

Bees find honey, (*)(*)(*)(*)-eaters only (*)(*)(*)(*). You found a lot of it and can be proud of yourself indeed, but that is your idea and your view.I wish you to live in this world forever, because you really deserve it. And I live here, in Russia.

With all the dirt that you have thrown to the side of Russia - you are the last person who can teach someone what sides of Russia one should love. So, the next time you try to present your inadequate opinion as something sane read this again, pls.
