Not when you first voted for him. When you voted for him, he was, at best, just a gameshow host.

Not enough on the left showed up to support her.

Could be because she doesn't represent them or their interests very well. The uncommitted movement was so strong that Trump even had a huge percentage of Muslims voting for him.

Turns out "Trump Bad" wasn't enough. Nor was waving a finger at Israel while arming them to kill Gazans. Nor was installing someone who speaks word salad and has no open primary because a selfish senile man won't step aside until the last moment.

She may be marginally better than Trump on policy, but not enough to get out the vote.

She should have gone on his show regardless of the details. That interview humanized Trump, and Joe could have done the same for her. Rogan's audience has a mix of left and right in it.

I can see that maybe she didn't appeal enough to the left and leaned too far toward the center for some. But nothing else here makes sense. Word salad? She sounds like a poet compared to her opponent. She vastly outperformed Trump on both character and policy, for all of those paying attention. Unfortunately, most just didn't pay attention.

It leans heavily to the right, and you and I both know it. And it wouldn't have mattered. Yes, he would have been a gracious host, but it still wouldn't have mattered.

Yes word salad. She sounds like somebody trying hard to sound smarter than she is. She is cosplaying a polished politician, and that just comes across as fake. She has well rehearsed talking points and refuses to stray from them. That's no longer what people want to see.

Trump is the opposite. He comes across as transparent and authentic, speaking whatever comes into his mind, even when it makes no sense. When he says stupid things, it's actually him saying them, and not him tripping over a rehearsed speech resulting in word salad.

You can get Trump in a conversation rambling (sometimes incoherently) about whatever comes up. You can see the thoughts forming in his little mind in real time. Kamala won't be unburdened by what has been, or what was asked, and will always speak at you rather than to or with you, with a speech she prepared long before.

When the choice was between these two, I am not shocked he won. The "Democrats" should have had an truly open and democratic primary. Trump isn't a strong candidate, just stronger than her. The "Democrat" party didn't learn their lesson with putting their thumbs on the scale for Hillary over Bernie. They keep propping up people who are the worst choices.

Here's to hoping they finally learn the lesson this time and in 2028 have a truly open and fair primary with a series of debates so candidates can be vetted by voters, with no party insider shenanigans. Let people like Bernie, Marianne Williamson, Dean Phillips, etc, run in a race that isn't rigged against them.

Yes. Democrats, American voters are lazy. Americans in general are lazy. Not sure why you're struggling with this tbh. Lol

I disagree. I think it would have mattered. It was an opportunity for her to come across as a normal human and not a polished politician, which she desperately needed. And unlike Bret on Fox, Joe would have been fair to her and heard her out without cutting her off, as he always does with guests.

Rogan's audience has a mix of left and right. A lot of right, yes. That's not a bad thing. It shows her being bold to reach across to them in a meaningful way, talking about what she will do for them. It would have been a much much more effective strategy than parading around with Liz Cheney and gloating about Dick Cheney supporting her. That only hurt her.

Perhaps Kammy lost because she lacked radical chic, and wasn't 'woke' enough to suit most Democrats? Perhaps she wasn't sufficiently critical of the whole White race? Perhaps, then, a candidate more like Brittney Cooper, a White-hating professor at Rutgers University...? Link: ‘We Got To Take These Motherf*ckers Out’: Professor Rants About White People ‘Being Villains’ | The Daily Caller

The veiled suggestion to Democrats emerges: the next time you put up a candidate who claims to be "Black", you'd better get one that really is Black, and 'walks the 'woke' talk' with greater verve and vigor!

Not struggling at all. In fact, I agree with you. American voters are lazy on average. Dems are lazier and that's why lowering the level of effort favors democrats.

Both parties behave in ways that can be called dictatorial & oppressive. But the Republicans take it to a whole new level by handing the nation completely over to private interests.

At least now she can tell herself that she isn't the only person on earth who lost an election to Donald Trump. That must have been hard to live with.

I'm not counting her out yet. I know this election was rigged by Trump's team and I feel it'll be exposed one way or another. You could even tell by Trump's 'victory speech'. There was no life, no energy - no joy or excitement. It was dead.

"Private interests"...?! Are you serious? Look at how much the government bureaucracies have grown in the past fifty years -- and -- how many MORE of them there are, too!

Democrats aren't the ones pushing for Project 2025. You're going to get a lesson in what a really intrusive govt is like.

Campaigning is marketing, and talk is cheap. How would she be as a president? That's what matters.

well given how bad she was as a
    1)2020 contender
    2) Senator
    3) VP

most people would predict she would have been awful. In fact I never heard anyone say how good she was-it was all how much they hated Trump

nothing in 2025 compares to Kackles braying about unannounced searchers and inspections of gun owners' homes
