If Einstein can be believed, there's quite a bit more to the faith/science connection than that.
    Not in the least, obviously.
Sure, I get it: had you been born in Berlin circa 1929, murdering Jews would've been a sacrament in your eyes.

Fortunately for you, America was founded by people whose thinking was inimical to yours; and unfortunately for others, their legacy allows your ilk to cultivate in others a slave mentality.
On Jefferson's rulings as a federal judge?
What I need to believe is the truth, which is what I posted.
    Who the hell cares?

I am asking you a very simple question. What is your reasoning to not helping your fellow man?

I have explained how it has enriched me. You don't have to agree with me but this isn't an either/or scenario.

    Answer the question.

I certainly don't care for your take on the subjects you broached. You say you are speaking truth, but it is just opinion, just as my arguments are.

It can rob them of a sense of independence and sap individual initiative.

If you like your version of "truth" that is what you should believe.

I do not choose to share your hubristic fancies .

Your petty pissiness toward those demon "liberals" that fester in your noggin is not Christian, of course, but you can still cling to hope.

You can do far worse than embrace the Christian agenda:
    1. Feed the hungry
    2. Give drink to the thirsty
    3. Welcome the stranger
    4. Clothe the naked
    5. Visit the sick
    6. Visit the prisoner
    7. Bury the dead

    True

You have the goofy idea that the universe just happened to stumble upon itself by accident

And that makes no sense at all

No, you may have swallowed just one convenient explanation that pleases you, and deny all others

That is why religionists have always been yapping at one another, and worse.

I humbly accept the reality that no one knows, and the plethora of human beliefs are all revelatory about humans.

TRUE. But how much man is actually impacting the climate is still undetermined. 15 or 20 yrs ago, they said FL was supposed to be underwater. Can those people please go drown themselves for me, since their predictions were total BS. I want every scientist that makes a climate prediction to fall on the sword if they’re wrong. And they have to make prediction 5 or 10 yrs down the line that aren’t so vague that it’s impossible to be wrong. I want concrete predictions scientists will swear their lives on.

That’s the reason global warming was switched to climate change because it’s vague enough to always be correct.

Climate change is very real. Mans impact can’t be proven since we have no earth with no people on it compare it to. And since climate has radically changed many times without mans impact...do the math.

    Ok

How do you explain the existence of the universe?

And believing some invisible man in the sky created the universe isn't goofy?

One doesn’t need religion to behave irrationally.

Oh that's a great reason to not help the needy. Your thinking is indicative of the right while you gladly support tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy. The poor will always be with us.

As I've said before, I find a great feeling when I help those in need. I don't just hand them a couple of bucks, I ask them about their situation. They are almost 100% hard luck and they have no family to lean on. Hit the streets pops, the idea in your mind is very different than reality.

Agreed. But religion of all types asks a person to suspend critical thinking. It is conducive to irrationality.

1 science never has all the answers.
2.Science has yet to find all the question let alone all the answers.
    3. The efficacy of human logic is limited by the fact that we are not omniscient or omnipresent.

I prefer sciences explanation over the invisible man theory. But you are free to believe what you like. Curious...do you still believe in Santa, Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy?

Everyone is trying to impose their views on everyone else. In case you hadn't noticed that is the essence of politics.

But scences answeer at the moment is darkmatter and energy which is little more at this point than a physics substitute for that first ever scientific question "What the hell is going on here"
