I think I understand - but you can't just go around vaporizing people :) If the people of the middle east want to live in some kind of middle ages mindset - Let them.

These nations were happily killing each other prior to us butting in. What is completely mindless is thinking you can go up to a hornets nest - hit it with a big bat - and not get stung.

Not sure about you but I can think of a better use for 6 Trillion dollars than being involved in ME affairs. Money that could have been used infrastructure, technology, ramping up our economy to compete in the third millennium. What was the return on that investment by the way ?

Then - we find out - that some of these tax dollars are being used to arm and support Al Qaeda, ISIS, and other scum bucket groups of the same radical Islamist ilk.

Well there is a good use our tax dollars ! Lets give Al Qaeda sophisticated military equipment such as shoulder launched surface to air missiles - the kind that are perfect for taking out civilian airliners. What a brilliant idea.

OH but - there is some greater good that outweighs the negatives - (Assad is a bad guy and ..and well he has never done anything to the US and is one of the only secular Muslim nations in the region (no Sharia Law) but, we need to get him because he didn't allow our pipeline to cross through his land. ) .. OK - wonderful - but lets hear it.

"You Can't Handle the Truth" ... don't care ... lets hear it. Nein - das ist verboten !!!

We are fast on our way to a quazi totalitarian Police/Nanny state - and are much of that journey is complete. Part of what has enabled such progress down this path is the rise of propaganda - "Necessary Illusions - Thought Control in a Democratic Society" - and its use on citizens by the State.

In 2013 it became legal for our intelligence agencies to create and disseminate propaganda on US citizens.

Perhaps I was out of the loop for the month - or in some coma that I do not recall - when the MSM spent a month discussing the pro's and con's of that legislation because Stormy Daniels was not around.

Nein - das ist verboten !!

I recall the days when there was a news anchor - who would read the News -what is going on in the world - regardless of whether or not it conflicted with the Establishment narrative of the day. Nein das ist verboten !!

The first rule of journalism school is "thou shalt not editorialize" As soon as they get out of School they realize that the main rule you need to follow is that if you want to be employed in Journalism - do not challenge the Establishment narrative du jour.

Ich verstehe und stimme etwas zu.

Who turned the Middle East into a complete basketcase besides Barack Obama ?

The world is very tribal and the Middle East even more so.

America is a tribe made up of many races and ethnicities and today America is being forced in the name of political correctness and diversity to accept new tribal members who were never invited to join the tribe or are wanted in America by the majority of the tribal members.

It's a leftist marxist myth that diversity makes America stronger.
Diversity end results is balkanization of society.
There's a reason why Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia, Romania, Bulgaria and Albania are referred to as the Balkans.

Europe in particular the British and somewhat the French drew up the borders of the Middle East and Islamic North Africa ignoring the different tribes within the territory.

Is Islam a religion or a political ideology ?

Yesterday I had a post deleted in reference to Islam.
No biggie, I should have backed up my post with a source. -> https://wikiislam.net/wiki/Islam_and_Pedophilia

:) :) Mine deutch ist nicht gut - but we have google Translator !

My son - who is in College - sent me a link the other day to some gal talking about how a US university is trying to ban certain common phrases - because someone might be offended (as if free speech does not include offending someone) - Some of these phrases were beyond innocuous - stuff like "Catch you later" ..apparently some group is offended by this.

He regularly tells me about the zany indoctrination agenda and I have written at length on the specific tactics - such as Utilitarianism as justification for law - the left regularly uses to remove the safeguards that protect individual liberty.

What he also relates is that very few have any awareness of the Utilitarian propaganda agenda - sans his friends who he has educated. Sure the masses will be against obvious stupidity - but in general they will buy into these arguments as they sound good on the surface.

For example "If it saves one life"/ "harm reduction" as sole justification for law. These arguments sound good on the surface " Don't you want to save a life Apacherat ?? .. don't you ??

This is what makes these arguments so insidious. In reality - law on the basis of such arguments is an anathema to the founding principles - respect for individual liberty.

People hear such arguments repeated so often - that the just begin to accept them as valid .. that's how propaganda works.

The right is just as guilty and just as infected with the plague of utilitarianism. The Establishment on both sides love Utilitarianism (Law on the basis of what will increase happiness for the collective - with no regard for the individual) as this justification allows for an end run around the founding principles.

It also allows an end run around the safeguards that limit Gov't power... and we all know how much Gov't likes to increase its own power.

Obama - the Harvard student of the Constitution and civil rights activist - who did a complete 180 on all his previous beliefs and said "If we want increased Security - we have to give a little" This was in relation to Clapper lying to congress (felony 1) about the en mass spying program (felony 2).

I get that Bush might have been aware (kidding) of the age old tactic of using fear of an external threat to take away liberty - The tactic the founders knew well "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase temporary security deserve neither liberty nor security"

Or simply - "Give me liberty or Give me Death" - Obama knew exactly what he was saying .. that it contradicted his entire life and what he claimed to stand for - YET - he said it anyway.

Obama then change the name of the Patriot Act - act which makes it our "Patriotic Duty" to give up individual liberty - to "The Freedom Act"
    Orwellian doublespeak on steroids.

I have written at length on Obama's arming and supporting of Al Qaeda/ ISIS and other Islamist extremist groups in Syria - while they were raping, torturing and murdering Christians and committing various other atrocities. What was the end game here ? - hand Syria over to the Saudi inspired Islamist extremist nut jobs (Al Qaeda/ISIS) like he did in Libya ?

Yemen - same story - again Obama was on the same side as Al Qaeda and the #1 State Sponsor of Terror - El Saud.

    It's weird!

President Trump Names Robert O’Brien as New National Security Advisor

President Trump fired John Bolton as National Security Advisor last week.

Trump said he “disagreed strongly” with many of Bolton’s suggestions.

Trump tries to get what he wants with bluster and over done threat but he really looks for the way out without real conflict. Bolton meant every dire threat he uttered so it isn't hard to see they were mismatched. Trump is more at home with economic threats, it's the world he understands.

He has repeatedly said he doesn't want to telegraph in advance. And we are clearly not being prepped for war.

I wonder if any of Iran's oil infrastructure is going to suddenly combust? Accidents do happen.

George Bush and his bunch of thieves turned the Middle East into a basketcase. More accurately, by way of deception, he inserted the US smack dab in the middle of all that religious nonsense, essentially doing the bidding of Israeli interests.

Is Christianity a religion or a political ideology?

When President Bush left the White House, Al Qaeda was either in hiding in northern Pakistan or in Yemen and the Horn of Africa.

Western tourist were vacationing in Egypt, getting a tan on the beaches of Syria and Libya's Gaddafi was on our side fighting Islamist jihadist.

The only basket case in the Middle East in 2000 was Iraq.

Iraq was a basket case? After the secular Saddam had been our Fair-haired son for all those years? After we had made so many loans to Iraq and supplied them with so many weapons including chemical and biological?

He had the electricity and sewage up and running, until we went in and destroyed the place, after our ambassador told him we would consider it to be a matter of "inter-arab affairs" if he invaded Kuwait.

President Bush, like his successor, was a traitor. He and his cronies pillaged the US Treasury, and with slightly different names, that pillage continues today.

Saddam Hussein was a thorn in the ass for the USA and the UK since 1992.

Has everyone forgotten that Saddam Hussein signed off on the assassination of G.H. Bush (41) ?

President Clinton had eight years to deal with Hussain problem.

The only thing Congress did was to pass the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998.
President Clinton signed regime change into law.

Even the Democrats signed off on regime change in Iraq back in 1998.
