Trump is a bad politician, a danger to democracy, only driven by greed. But he is not the Antichrist. If you want to fix this by citing verses who have been multiple time translated from aramaic to hebrew to greek to lation to english and then jugde him for a word or name you'll only find in the english bible is imho arrogant and self-righteous.

 

Then Trump is not THE Antichrist in your opinion. OK, but you cannot deny that he has many characteristics of the "man of sin" or "man of lawlessness" or "son of perdition" or "beast" or "little horn" etc. I have listed over 27 of them. Why would any Christian vote a man into power whose name is associated with the end times? Because they want to world to end?

Because there are many Antichrists in the world. In the US the most notable one is the great, golden one. What country do you live in? Who is the Antichrist in your area? Nobody matches the Bible verses of Antichrist as well as Trump does that I know of. Or are you aware of another?

Trump is famous for saying he does not ask God for forgiveness, implying he does not need saving. So, he denies the Father and the Son.

These verses suggest that anyone who denies Christ can be considered an "antichrist," and that there were already many such individuals in the world at the time John was writing. The KJV was published in 1611, long before the name "trump" was well known. Funny how this version abbreviated "trumpet" as "trump."

1 Corinthians 15:52 (KJV): "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

1 Thessalonians 4:16 (KJV): "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first."

Why would any Christian, who is aware of these verses, want to vote into power the man associated with the end times? Because they WANT to end the world?

 

Again, why do YOU want the world to end for everybody? If you don't like the world, just step off without hurting anybody else.

This is not my theory, Dennis. It was about 2600 years ago that Ezekiel saw and wrote down what the Temple would be like and how the Lord God would appear there at the Second Coming. This is the word of God - no need for theories, just read what is written in every Bible. Read it - and do it.

Yes, there are some problems with the translations.

I am concerned that all the English translations that I know of make a gross mistake in a very popular verse from the book of Daniel today:

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (Daniel 9:27)

There is no word "he" in the original.

The correct translation should be something like this:

And one week shall confirm the covenant with many, and in the middle of the week the sacrifice and the offering shall cease, and at the edge shall be the abomination of desolation, and the final doom shall come upon the desolator. (Daniel 9:27)

There is no "he" here, no Antichrist. There is a "week", which is not the 70th, as in the past, a completely different one, a super-week, of 7 years of the lunar calendar, where 354 days in a year must be multiplied by 7, and the resulting number of days counted as years, 2,478 years - from the moment Esther was taken under the supervision of the eunuchs of King Artaxerxes. This is a very complex prophecy, and if the text is distorted by the word "he", then it is completely impossible to understand.

These translation errors are made by translators with good intentions to make the text easier to understand, but in practice, on the contrary, they make it impossible to correctly understand the meaning embedded in the text. These errors are from the spirit of the Antichrist, which has struck the entire Christian religion since the 4th century.
