He does have dementia. I'm barely scratching the surface because like I said its elder abuse to put him through this in that condition and I'm disgusted by it. As stated his behaviors are the same my grandfather showed right before he got so bad it couldn't be denied anymore.
Trump is of an age to have the edges of it as well, and it would explain some of his outbursts near the end of his term and his denial of the truth. Though that may just be common narcissistic personality disorder.
I normally just say Trump is a ****ing idiot and an *******. But he's not going to gain office again so its mostly a moot point now. Biden currently has a football within 10 feet of him and the codes to use it. Therefore I am more concerned with him currently.

A libertarian president would be balanced out by both parties trying to undercut them. They would actually serve the function of the president instead of being an arm of one party or another.
We shouldn't be paying foreign entitlements ever, domestic entitlements should come from the state and local levels if at all as they are certainly no constitutional function of the federal government. We shouldn't be fighting endless undeclared wars with no victory conditions. We shouldn't be deficient spending like some profligate son of a nobleman. Any taxation should be at a minimum, as the size of the federal government should be at a minimum.

Your grandfather gave speeches and took questions from the press on TV? And that was all you know about your grandfather?

You can't compare two people, one a family member, the other someone you see on TV, and come to any meaningful conclusion, especially one you're not at all qualified to make.

You'll need reports to support your opinion, and unlike with Trump, I know of no reports on Biden's behavior that would indicate any mental failing.

YES as I have said over and over and you have tried to say otherwise. You can want all you want, he violated the UCMJ and tried to exert authority he does not have. He acted in insubordination.

IF you still believe in the civilian control of the military then why are you suggesting Milley or any other general should take over that control if they personally believe the President is somehow incapable of their job? Where does the Constitution or the law allow for that and be specific.

Good. Now show me in the literature where that means something, from your living room, watching on TV.

Show me where that would mean anything if you saw it in person. If that's dementia to you, then everyone is demented. Heck, W couldn't remember the name of a classic Who song. Dementia hits the Bush family at a young age. And Ford sucked at golf. Dementia. My grandpappy sucked at golf too.

Big eyeroll there man. Biden is old. That's all he is.

He's one of the chief advisors to the president.

Of course he has that right, it was exercised by Schlesinger and he wasn't accused of 'treason', etc.

It's not the number that counts, it's who says it.

When the director of the CIA and the US Joint Chiefs of Staff say that the President is mentally unstable, it only takes MAGA to discredit them.

With hind sight we know from his sick lack of reality especially the way he acted when he found he lost a legitimate election that Trump could have been capable of anything. This total nut job told his insurrectionists to "stop the steal" at the very moment the Senate was certifying Biden as president.. He backed up his lawyer who told the insurrectionists/terrorists that this would be ‘trial by combat.” This sick president wanted Pence to halt the Senate’s certification of Biden thus trashing our constitution. Trump harassed an attorney general of GA. into finding more votes for him. Milley had genuine concern regarding Trump's displayed sickness and craziness. He may have overstepped his bounds but that's not for us to judge. In America you are innocent until proven guilty except in Trump's America.

Once again you allow yourself to be controlled by rules 100% of the time. While I believe that civilian control of the military should exist 99.9% of the time there are times when a sense of humanity prevails above rules. You seem not to have that sense. You have failed to respond to this assertion although I've mentioned it several times thus stifling true debate on this issue. If you don’t like true and honest debate on this and other issues why would you post me with an inquiry in the first place? I’ve responded several times to your query..My response has always been that humanity demands that rules be over ridden in the case of a mentally sick president (I.E. a president like Trump) who demands the use of nuclear weapons purely out of a moment of anger without justification of any real threat. .Why you think the destruction of most of human kind (without good reason) is OK in its nature is baffling and true cause for concern. So please tell me why you think this? You ask questions but won't answer mine. How in God's name can you give your blessing to the destruction of all humanity without just cause? A very scary proposition on your part. Once again you ask me a question but will not answer mine and will not participate in the free discussion of ideas. What's the point?

I have answered your questions over and over the LAW and the CONSTITUTION and our fundamental principle of civilian control of the military. I can think of NO circumstance where we should allow a military take over of that control as you support. If you don't like the LAW and the CONSTITUTION then organize and elect people who will change them both.

That is not relevant to the discussion at hand. Whether or not he would have been proud of having voted for Trump doesn't change the fact that Trump, like all President's before him since the "nuclear football" came into existence, does in fact have the legal authority to single handedly launch a pre-emptive first strike nuclear attack. Whether or not that is a good idea is outside the scope of this thread, the only thing relevant here is that he's right, as has been every other poster who has asserted the same thing.

This is such a stupid answer that I don't know where to start.

So I conclude that respecting the right of an insane President to launch a nuclear attack is more important than saving the world.

The cult has taken another step forward.

What's stupid is acting like something happened that actually didn't happen.. ;);) I guess we argue if there's a real magic carpet too.

Anyone that thinks Trump, our first anti-war President wanted to launch a nuclear strike on China ain’t playing with a full deck.

Wrong again, this thread is about what Milley did, not what Trump did. You've done your best to try to convince us what Milley did was a reaction to something Trump did, which NEVER HAPPENED, hence a stupid argument as you would say.
