Wow, I can't believe my good luck. I'm going to get vaccinated! In New York, you have to be 65 years old in order to receive the Coronavirus vaccine. But, it turns out that if you're in the farm business, or work there, then you can get a Jonson & Jonson vaccine. They come to your farm and vaccinate anyone who wants one. So, I'm going to get vaccinated and, while I'm going to still wear the mask for a while yet, I won't have to worry as much about being infected nor spreading it to others. :)

Congratulations. I've had both of my Moderna and I can tell you that you will sense a great relief of stress you don't realize you've been carrying. And yes, I still wear my mask when going out.

I got my pfizer vaccine and I'm waiting to be fully immunized. But it will be nice once I have it.

I live in Africa so its going to be a while yet. But then the city's population is over a million and we've only had 30 some cases almost all UN people and their house workers. Everyone else has to take a Covid test before getting on a plane or stepping foot in a hospital or clinic.
We went full Ebola mode in the whole country back when T**** was still claiming it was nothing to worry about. Tough couple of months but goods were travelling so not so bad.
The really good part was the closing of evangelical, aka very loud at any hour day or night, churches. They've been very slow to reopen. Hopefully many won't.

I think my state is pretty much open to anybody who wants a vax can get it. They just have to enroll at the health department portal if they want it for free.

I had two Pfizer shots, and all is good. Initially, I qualified because of pre-existing conditions, then, because of dieting and losing weight, I was told I didn't qualify, then for whatever reason they said to just come in a get stabbed. At least I got them, and that's the important part.

Good for you. Don't listen to anti-vaxxers and denialists like one of the posters here. I wonder what's the goal of the people who tell lies about the vaccines and endorse bombastic half-truths.

Sorry, I totally do not believe that. But I suppose that's an argument for another thread.

    Arithmetic. 350,000,000 / 550,000 = 636
Sue me, I used an estimate.

I've had the first of the Moderna, waiting for second. I'm still planning on wearing the mask too, and cleaning hands, it's just the smart thing.

Maybe they are hoping for a mutation that gives them super powers or something...
Today's sermon was about Doubting Thomas, it's somewhat related; I got wet, and saw one other not so fair weather rider.

Yes, that was the kiker. When I got my second vaccination, I just sat in my car for 20 minutes, trying to grasp it.

Monday and Tuesday the last of my employees will get their 2 second vaccination and than I will have that burden, for now, from my shoulders.

Here's an update, I think my chances of getting a vaccine just petered out, it was the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) one by the way. A single shot delivered to farmworkers. But the J&J vaccine is having terrible supply issues. It's been 2 + weeks and I haven't heard anything back about it. It looks like I'll have to get back to the end of the line and wait for the next available vaccine, which could take a while because everything's all booked up.
