Where is Omara today? the Judge and West clearly hate each other.....
I assume the state couldn't get their last witness (undercover cop) in to testify today?

Jeff Ashton had announced before trial his intent to leave the Prosecutor's office. He was then elected State's Attorney for the Ninth Circuit down here.

He has done quite well for himself since the Anthony trial.

I think most feel it in their bones....George is going to prision.....for how long and for what remains to be seen. I do not think this jury of all women will have the moral resolve to sand up to the State. Plus a un-mentioned factor is that they are no doubt fearful for their lives if they do not convict George of something....even though they are now anonymous there is always the chance and even the liikliehood that at some point their identities will be revealed.

 

Why did he call the police, he observed a person walking in the rain looking around as his signal was dropping on his cell phone. He didn't observe anything else.
He felt a kid was staring at him because he drove slowly by him and parked in a running car ahead of him.
There was no reason for police involvement or the police to approach Martin at the time.

 

I still can't see how they expect a conviction, even with all this chicanery...

 

I believe not. In side-bar yesterday the Judge likely told the State no way. For many good reasons. It was deemed non-probative, non-rebuttal, and would have allowed the Defense to then rebut with a variety of witnesses going directly to George's character.

 

Finally the judge woke up! The instructions must be based on the evidence presented in the case. The state is trying to present things that never were discussed or shown in the trial. If she sticks to that, then child abuse is out.

That's what they're hoping for and with Obammy's dead pool, it shouldn't take long.

 

This judge may well just instruct to vote guilty and end this farce...

 

No she didn't, she grandstanded for the prosecution. Never have I ever heard of a judge doing this in open court in front of the Jury, never. She has no obligations beyond being a judge on the evidence and the law, period. I am sure that Mr. Zimmerman was well aware of his rights having been mirandized and having the assistance of a lawyer. This was nothing more but a sheer display of judicial bias on behalf of the prosecution.

Even biased Judge Nelson acknowledged injuries aren't required to have a reasonable fear when defending one's self.

 

This judge wants a conviction and that isn't her job. She needs to be thrown off the bench for activism.

 

If anyone is so naïve to believe that this jury came into court with 'Tabula Rasa' ...A 'blank slate' mind they are clueless. No matter what the jurors told the defense and prosecution lawyers to get on the jury...they have heard stuff, have been influenced....there is no escaping that.

 

That is what all these gymnastics are, and why the Defense is fighting it so much. If the jury truly was pretty brain-dead before trial, then they can be greatly influenced by the instructions. While we would see a conviction as absurd, instructions can be crafted so as to move a jury, one step at a time, covering a distance we thought impossible. Casey Anthony being an example.

Yes, and if as liberal and mindless as we have seen with a few libs here, they would welcome any crumb trail provided by the Judge to convict.

A CNA changes diapers and long term care, it has nothing to do with seeing actual emergency Pts and treatment. There weren't four visable injuries and only three separate injuries that could have been due to several options.
Zimmerman being struck right to left as well as no swelling focused swelling to the back of the head makes him a liar as two medical witnesses stated they felt. The back his head would have been bruised with swelling similar to the nose with the damage to the capillaries to the back of the head from the claim of several strikes.
He had minor cuts to the back of the head only.

 

It's blatantly obvious at this point. This is truly mind blowing for supposed justice.
