When was the last of their bloody civil wars and how are they doing today?

Just face it, every bit of 97% of black world countries is in a similar state. I'm not sure what the current state of Rwanda is but I bet it's not some place you'd want to walk down the street at night.

Depends a bit from the circumstances. Black Brazilians are oftentimes influenced by the Catholic Church or Evangelicals, the Dominican Republic, the direct neighbour of Haiti consists also to a large part of Black people but is far away from the shithole level of Haiti.

In Africa itself there are also states which are to some extend succesful when it comes to build up their economy, but yes, a lot of them are shitholes.

This might seem like a hilariously improbable and odd comment. It's definitely safer at night than the US. I was there early this year.

I haven't done a huge amount of research on it, but based on some preliminary quick things I was able to pull up, I am seeing a little bit of conflicting information about it.

Any comparison with Rwanda should probably focus on that country's largest city, Kigali. Since much of the population in the rest of the country lives in very small traditional African villages.

Some sources say that Kigali is comparable, or even a little bit safer than London. But that's not really saying much, these days, due to the huge crime problems that have come to London in recent years, and big swaths of London having become majority non-white.

There are plenty of articles like this one:

City of crime? Desperate Kigali residents cry out for help
    March 23, 2023

A section of Kigali residents have raised concern over increasing cases of crime including burglary during the night. People are attacked either on their way home or thugs break into their homes.

Police launch crackdown to rid Kigali of crime
    April 30, 2023

The Rwanda National Police has launched operations to curb rising cases of crime following public outcry over escalating of cases thefts and house break-ins in the capital city.

"We know groups of young people at Giti k'inyoni, Gisozi, Gatsata, Gikondo and other areas, who spend the whole day loitering waiting for darkness to start stealing from cars, snatching phones and other valuables from people, breaking into houses, and those who steal clothes from drying ropes in homes."

Activist raises alarm on police brutality, cold blood killings
    February 24, 2023

A local umbrella association of human rights organizations, CLADHO, has accused police of killing unarmed civilians in their operation to keep law and order.

... the recent reported case of two robbery suspects who were shot dead by the police patrol in Rubavu, western province.

We cannot cure the world's ills. Haiti was a French colony, so France should fly a regiment in and start taking care of business.
Believe me, it has started some years ago. All of our enemies are working to sow discord in America. This Hamas stuff is outside agents just like BLM. Same leadership, different costumes.
Our government is too weak to do anything about it because these students are "Children of the Swamp" with an elite and protected DNA profile.
That is/was the big difference with Trump. He was not in the swamp's DNA. He was an outsider. He would gladly arrest them all and let the courts sort it out.

I agree – it is idiotic that only people who fight with Jews are getting support from ‘progressives’.

Why there are no demonstration supporting Haitian people, Haiti is much closer to US than Gaza!

Why there are no demonstration supporting Haitian people in France – it is France who is mostly responsible for Haiti economic situation:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haiti_Independence_Debt

Now look on people who fight Jews: only Palestinian refugees got UN organization dedicated only to helping them.

On Oct 7 Hamas started genocide of Jews, exactly how they promised in their charter, and even BEFORE Israel responded we have huge demonstration in support of Hamas/Palestinians:
    https://www.thecrimson.com/article/2023/10/15/gaza-protest-harvard/

IMHO if Haitian gangs were Jewish, ‘progressives’ will demand to send US Army to destroy Jewish gangs and to make order in Haiti.

Just to point out, for people who may not realize it, things were economically better off for Haiti in the 1940s and 50s. It was actually a small center of culture (especially music & entertainment culture) and many people from both the U.S. and France went to visit there.

Things were always a little backwards and underdeveloped for most of the population in Haiti of course, but the people were not as impoverished and desperate as they became later. In 1957-1958, a dictator came to power who used death squads to silence his opponents; he held power until his death in 1971, was replaced by his son, who in turn was finally ousted from power in 1986. Big economic turmoil hit Haiti beginning in 1991, when things really began falling apart.
