Who do you admire the most - alive or dead? Maybe I'll put it this way - if you could have a casual conversation with anyone, one on one, for one hour, who would you choose? [Not necessarily limited to just one...] I would pick Jesus. He was profoundly detached from things that drove others mad, like the Roman occupation, for example - he kept an eternal focus - and always had the right thing to say - and most of all, he died for being true to his own nature and his God - etc. I would also love to have some time with Leonard Euler - and also J. Lagrange and JC Maxwell, too. But, if I could only pick one, it would have to be Jesus. [I say his name enough - I should get to know know him better ] .
I think I'd have to say all four of my grandparents. Three of them died before I was old enough to remember them and the fourth died before I was old enough to know that she was worth having real conversations with. I'd love to get to know the parents of my parents and to see the way that they interacted with each other.
Tht would be interesting. My father died when i was young. And my mother passed about about 7 years ago. There are things that i think of, photos that i find that i would love to know what the occasion was...or why this or whatever. INformation lost forever.
The older I get the less sure I am. As a teenager in High School I had 2 distinct hero's. Marlon Brando and Bill Cosby. The " Cos " because he had a popular TV show where he played a really Kool and understanding High School Gym teacher. He had a great ability to connect with students using humor, common sense and a little bit of applied peer pressure.Meaning he understood that fitting-in is key to growing up and getting along with fellow peer but also pressure was necessary to acheive that goal.In other words No student was an Island. The " Cos " had a talent for unravelling a students shell. We all tend to have Shells.
Yeah, I think it would be pretty fun and enlightening to have Jesus, and Buddha, and Abraham, and Muhammad, and Loa Tzu, and Confucious over for dinner, a few beers, and some light conversation about philosophy.
If Jesus was white, so was Mohammad!! The Arabs of the Saudi Peninsula are no more or less white than the ones living in Palestine, nor their Palestinian ancestors!!!
There is NO racial difference. Arabs are a light skinned but dark haired and dark eyed people. The darker skinned Arabs tend to be from places like Yemen, Oman, etc where the intermixed with African Muslims of different origins. They are no more or less white than ancient Galileans would have been(who don't exist anymore, and are now probably intermixed with what we now call Arabs).
