Same with those that drop 500 lb bombs on crowded apartment blocks.

Personally, I think they should simply follow the model that has been proven the most successful in the last century.

Two great men in the last century found a way to overcome oppression and discrimination, and were able to get the entire world to back them. And they did it without bloodshed.

And it was even postulated way back in 1991 by author Tom Clancey.

Many people have probably seen the movie "The Sum Of All Fears". But if anybody has not done so, I encourage them to also read the book. It is vastly different then the movie based on it.

If the Palestinians ever adopted a stance of passive resistance, odds are that they would gain most things they want (short of the destruction of Israel). Like Ghandi and Dr King, world opinion would almost universally support them, and Israel would have to negotiate with them.

However, at this time, Paslestine has never negotiated in good faith. They break every cease fire ever agreed upon, and will not settle for anything other then total victory, the destruction of Israel, and the death or expulsion of all Jews.

As long as those are their goals, I know that I will never support them.

    Terrorists? No.

    Terrorist sympathizer? Most definitely.

I doubt the FBI will be kicking in your door anytime soon, unless you publically call for Islamic Jihad on Facebook, then you might have a visit. Obama is anti-Israel anyway so why would they come after you?

As long as the Israeli government is controlled by right-wing Zionists (Likud), negotiations are futile. History has shown us that passive resistance against Israel achieves very little (if nothing at all). Take the '73 War, for example. The Arabs, frustrated with negotiations going nowhere, attacked Israel, hoping to break the status-quo that prevailed at the time (believing that a vulnerable Israel will have to engage in serious negotiations). Indeed, it was widely believed before the outbreak of the war (especially by Kissinger and Nixon), that as long as Israel is powerful and comfortable, war will not break out. Let us take another example, the Israeli-Syrian peace negotiations. Even though Hafez Al-Assad agreed to peace (in exchange for the Golan Heights), Israel (when a deal was so very close), torpedoed the negotiations (by failing to agree to the return of all the Golan Heights). There are other examples, but I think you get my point.

No offense, but this is simply naivety speaking. Indeed, Israel has said that it will not return to the '67 borders (in defiance of international law); it has continued to expand its settlement activities in the occupied territories (in defiance of international law). Palestine has repeatedly claimed that Israel must agree to return to the '67 borders and halt its settlement activities before they agree to engage in negotiations, yet Netayahu has refused any preconditions for direct peace talks. Shiva is quite correct in calling this "BS."

    http://www.politicalforum.com/middle-east/229592-netayahus-no-preconditions-bs.html

Yet it was Israel that torpedoed the Oslo Accords, which were lousy to begin with (for example, the absence of a cessation to settlement building in the occupied territories).

Yet Israel broke the ceasefire in 2008.

Both Hamas and Fatah have agreed to the '67 borders. Sure, there are some Palestinians who wish for the destruction of Israel, but this is no different than those right-wing Zionists who wish to incorporate all of Palestine into Israel. It is not apt to lump a whole nation into one group.

No, but I do understand why some would consider them terrorists (ignorance of the whole conflict, conditioning by the media, etc...).

Not necessarily, but the likelihood is higher that they could be a potential terrorist than someone who is neutral on the subject.

Sorry, but your first and last sentences pretty much told me that you are an anti-semite. And as a general rule, I do not deal with racists of any kind.

And really? Hamas has accepted the 1967 border? Got a reference?

And also, do you have a reference that they have ever re-written or put aside their charter? Because unless they have thrown out their charter, any claims and promises they make mean absolutely nothing.

    http://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/hamas.asp

In particular, look to Article 13.

    Article Thirteen:
Initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences, are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement. Abusing any part of Palestine is abuse directed against part of religion. Nationalism of the Islamic Resistance Movement is part of its religion. Its members have been fed on that. For the sake of hoisting the banner of Allah over their homeland they fight. "Allah will be prominent, but most people do not know."

Now and then the call goes out for the convening of an international conference to look for ways of solving the (Palestinian) question. Some accept, others reject the idea, for this or other reason, with one stipulation or more for consent to convening the conference and participating in it. Knowing the parties constituting the conference, their past and present attitudes towards Moslem problems, the Islamic Resistance Movement does not consider these conferences capable of realising the demands, restoring the rights or doing justice to the oppressed. These conferences are only ways of setting the infidels in the land of the Moslems as arbitraters. When did the infidels do justice to the believers?

"But the Jews will not be pleased with thee, neither the Christians, until thou follow their religion; say, The direction of Allah is the true direction. And verily if thou follow their desires, after the knowledge which hath been given thee, thou shalt find no patron or protector against Allah." (The Cow - verse 120).

There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors. The Palestinian people know better than to consent to having their future, rights and fate toyed with. As in said in the honourable Hadith:

"The people of Syria are Allah's lash in His land. He wreaks His vengeance through them against whomsoever He wishes among His slaves It is unthinkable that those who are double-faced among them should prosper over the faithful. They will certainly die out of grief and desperation."

This is straight from the Hamas Charter. Written in 1988, and never once put aside, re-written, or disputed by the leadership of Hamas.

You are free to believe so, although it is best that you tackle my points; indeed, I have not accused you of being an anti-Semite for your position concerning the Palestinians (who are Semites), so why do you?

Are you completely ignorant of the histroy of the area?? First, Jodan has 77% of what was "Palestine". Second, Syria and Lebanon have another good chunk of it. The so called "Palestinians" were offered 75% of the land that was left in 1937 and 38' but refused saying they wanted it all. As far as I'm concerned the "Palestinians" of today are citizens of Jordan (they were made so in 1967) and HAVE A HOMELAND and should go there!!!

When we fought WW2 did we fire bomb Tokyo, yes or no??? Have the Israels made a strong effort to avoid civilian casualties for the most part?? Can you say the same thing for the Arabs?? How do the Arabs target in the market places of Israel without targeting civilians?? How about when the Arabs were blowing up school buses? Or Transit buses? As far as I'm concerned the Arabs couldn't whip Israel with the Arab League so they started targeting Israel's women and children. The 1969 Cairo Convention layed out what they were going to do, where they were going to do it from and how they were going to do it.

Hamas accepts 1967 borders, but will never recognize Israel, top official says

So what good does it do to except the 67' boarder??? This is nothing more than word games.

How Israel decides to run there country is up to them. As far as the poll I voted other. I wish the Palestinian people peace but their fellow Arabs are the ones who abandoned them. They should make peace or they will lose even more.

Yea for Obama! Ha ha! But no, seriously, free speech here in the USA (and everywhere really) should be protected. However if an anti American anti Israel pro terrorist baby killer curs gets in my face and runs his naive lying mouth about how the Zionists are murders and other lies I will turn my other cheek after I bust his nose, or if he is a girly man I might simply slap him, you know whap whap!

Sorry I am in a bad mood~ Maybe I would just Moon him after I cool off !

I think as long as the KKK or the Pro SCP (so called Palestinians) want to assemble and speak in terms that obey OUR USA law they should be permitted all the rights and privileges of our nation. However I do wish they would pack up and leave the USA if they hate us so much.

Great post! The problem is that the Usual Suspects love to villainize the west and Israel (and Christianity by proxy) for anything, up to and including farting in a elevator as an atrocity. However they become deaf dumb and blind when Hamas launches rockets into Israel or any sort of TRULY atrocity level terrorism. For the most part the terrorists AND THOSE THAT HELP OR ASSIST THEM are reaping what they have sown. Yes it saddens me when anyone dies for BS that could be negotiated. I have written thread after thread showing that the SCPs have attempted to circumnavigate UN protocol for statehood and have repeatedly mucked up their own goals by criminal and unethical acts. Know what? Its all going to end and it seems that the end process is speeding up in the middle east.

LOL. 5 people that support imprisoning people for his ideas. In other words, 5 fascists, without doubt.

Yeah, nice, ideological persecution. And later you get angry when you're called fascists, but with this ideas you don't deserve any other thing that being called fascist.

Rev .. this is absolute twaddle. Israel has violated conditions of the agreement that allowed statehood to begin with over 200 times, each time gaining more land.

As far as atrocities are concerned ... this is a blood feud. Both sides are guilty and anyone who apologises for atrocities for one side is guilty of aiding and abetting terrorism.

At large percentage of Israeli's believe this so I really do not think your claims have much of a leg to stand on.
