Yeah. Maggie being captured instead of Michonne throws a whole wrench in speculation. As well as Merile being there. In the comics you're correct. It was Michonne who was raped. She may still be raped if the rescue goes poorly. If Maggie has replaced Michonne then the scene is going to be a lot more emotional because Glenn will be in hearing distance. Merile might be the rapist too. It's possible that all the worst actions the governor did in the comics will be something Merile will do in the TV show. Who knows! I do love that even though I've read the comics the TV show is keeping me guessing!

I don't feel anyone still alive in the comics is invincible. Because the TV show has already killed people who are still alive in the comics.

Does the comic ever reveal what the Governor did prior to zombies? Was he a homicidal maniac, a union thug, what?

He was a loser. He started a few businesses and ran them all into the ground. On Day 0 he was living in his parents house. There is a whole side novel that tells his story in more detail. It's a pretty interesting one I hear. Haven't gotten around to reading it.

Yeah, I saw it at Barnes and Noble the other day. Looks pretty cool.

Anyone else think Herschel has gotten a lot more epic?

He's taken Dale's place as the wise old man. But he does have the most magnificent beard.

I know right? It's just perfect.

To be honest, right now the thing I'm most interested in is what the hell the Governor's experiments are about, and why he keeps the living heads.

I think he is trying to cure his daughter perhaps. Also to come up with effective ways to ward off zombies.

AMC always replays the previous episode before the new one airs, so you will be able to catch it this weekend.

AMC is showing the 3rd season "TWD" marathon leading up to the mid-season finally this Sunday. A chance to catch up for anybody who has missed anything.

I never have because I'm not into Zombie films or TV shows. If they made a version of The Walking Dead with robots (like Terminators) then I'd watch that possibly.

I enjoy the series but no one seems to have worked out that all you need is Armour and a sword and you are invincible toZombies.

You can make chainmail from split washers extremely easily. Replace the sword with an Axe

and what happens when that gets stuck in a zombies skull and theyres 5 more on top of you. zombies dont tire. if they pin you, youre as good as dead. it doesnt matter if they cant bite you. plus bandits would kill you and take all your stuff as well if your only defense is a sword (what is this the middle ages?)

Sadly my GF loves the show... lol. OK it's not a bad show but with all of the hype around it, I hold it to higher standards and consider it a mediocre show. It's main grabbing point is sucking you into the next episode by leading up to it. Like LOST. During the show, the pseudo realism of the situations is ridiculous but if turn your brain off, like a zombe, it feels like this could be a real life thing. people think that this kind of thing could play out. "what would you do" and "no faith in man kind" are the common themes. The gore is very realistic and I'm surprised people are getting tired of it by now. I know I am. Nobody seems to even consider ways around the zombie problem in my eyes and the show certainly doesn't want you to think about it. Nobody ever ventures to new areas thinks about more clever ways for handling zombies, people only work together in the most shallow sense. To me it's not really positive and bodes well with a distrusting fearful culture. OK I know, I'm overreaching here a little bit.. lol

I think obtaining a mixture of sports and military body armor would be prudent (and not that difficult to find), but in terms of entertainment we wouldn't get to see the eye candy, which is probably why they haven't done it in the show. The sword part might be a more difficult find.

it's not really about zombies it's a post apocalyptic scenario, you could replace the zombies with a virus but how do you show an invisible virus as a threat...this show is about the breakdown of civilization regardless of the cause, who can you trust, us vs them...
