I heard about this on the radio this morning. I've got mixed feelings about it. While I do think an overall ban is a bit excessive for adults, I also recognize the need for something legitimate to be done to keep this stuff away from kids. Just saying, "parent your kids better," is not realistic because this (*)(*)(*)(*) is everywhere today. If it's not in your house, it will be somewhere else your kids will be. Well, the government elected by the people of Iceland ALSO "does not support children being exposed to pornography", and are taking steps that they think will help prevent that from occuring. That might involve (gasp!!! ) regulating, or even (gasp!! gasp!! ) LIMITING the access of people 18+ to pornography in Iceland. If that will protect their children....WONDERFUL.
