It is a shame when those hellbent on violating the inalienable rights of others and infringing upon their liberties point at those who protest and cry "Extremists!". Shakespeare would be proud- comedy and tragedy in one fell swoop.

The only thing I take except to is the characterization of "the left" in the OP. It is more an authoritarian property described- I know rational left leaning libertarians that may take exception. This miscaracterization is not uncommon though, as the stereotypical concept of "left/right"="Republican/Democrat"="conservative/liberal" is driven into Americans from a very young age (well, many other nations for that matter as well). That is a one dimensional characterization- I prefer a two dimensional approach.

The State is the central committee of the boss class, as you know. Until the majority seize control of it and make a new one, it will never be destroyed - look back at Spain, do. No worker wants to impose anything on anyone, but in a war you don't have much choice, as we've all found.

The thought police are already here. For now they are mostly collecting information. Soon they will start using that information against ideas they do not like.

What some confuse with 'pathological' behavior on the Left... is actually a conditioned response to defend against LIES and TREACHERY of/from the Right.

If people are smart, they won't trust a thing coming from the Right (or Left) they WILL check it out (as many are learning to do).

This is exactly the type of mischaracterization of the OP's posts that lead him/her to create this thread. That is a blatant lie- no libertarian in this thread wants to freeload. Quite the opposite- they recognize they are perfectly capable of sustaining one's self. If other needs their help all a libertarian require that they be asked so any money they use to help another soul is given voluntarily, without threat by a morally inferior body of government. The fact that they are unwilling to steal from another making de facto morally superior to those willing to support a body that has no right to steal from them in the first place.

Reminds me of when a prosecutor demonizes the victim of a crime to allow their criminal client go free.

He said "left" not "liberal". You cannot believe in individual freedom and force individuals into involuntary (insert action here).

lol, like most libertarians you run away from your own ideas when they are presented in a way that reveals that type of society you truly advocate. I think I'll continue to expose you for what you really are.

This is how people like the OP plan to destroy democracy in the US:

Um... Hello? European? Hate to break it to you, but looking at what you people consider "liberal" or "conservative", we're way beyond you in terms of liberalism. Socialized healthcare, cushier welfare system, fairly extreme national and international regulation... We are liberalism "in practice", and we love it. Our opinion on America? To quote the famous philosopher, "America is like a diabetic gorilla with explosive diarrhea that sits on your couch all day stuffing its gob with chocolate and money, and which mauls you when you try to give it free health care". The general idea here in Germany with regards to the American left/right dichotomy is "Wait, the republicans are how (*)(*)(*)(*)ing crazy?"

Well I'm not using the term to mean that form of liberal, am I? No, I'm using the common term used to describe the current left-wing political spectrum in the US. You know, an incredibly common usage of the term that only pedants with very little to actually say would take issue with.

This is also a product of our democracy

The product of our police state

And the liberal policies of the city I grew up in

I'm sure we couldn't do worse on our own without government.

"Thug" in this case is being used as shorthand for "one who compels compliance through the use of force." I.e., pay us x% of your income or armed men will arrest and imprison you. Their elected status is irrelevant for this use of "thug".

Sadly it is impossible to be properly represented in a system like ours in which the people we "choose" to elect are in league with big business who love all the taxes I pay to keep them at the top and will use all of their ill-gotten gains to make sure the status quo doesn't change.

I don't want to pay taxes OR receive the benefit of other peoples' taxes. Public goods (defined as goods which cannot be given to only those who wish to pay for them. E.g., national defense, clean air, etc.) being a possible exception.

Me or you? I'm a dual citizen living in America. You've professed to be an American living in Germany.

I lived in Poland as a child, lived in Russia for my masters program, travel extensively. You're not more "liberal" than America, just more socialist. Liberal is "free". Europe is one of the most highly regulated areas in the world. Somalia is more "liberal" than Germany.

You're 18. No offense, but you haven't exactly worked long enough to know that you "love" it. My friend in London--not a transplant but born and bred loved it too until he got a job where he could make real money.

"Our"? You mean "your". I don't presume to speak for anyone but me. You're 18 and hopefully you will learn that route is safest as you grow older.

Ninja please. I studied in Munich.

You're not a liberal. You're a huge regulation, anti-freedom type. You are a leftist because you believe in socialism.

I have a lot to say, actually. In fact, I get paid to review laws and minutiae. The devil is always in the details--the usurpers who took a liberte philosophy and coupled it with socialism to gain popularity with the populace, for example.

I understand that, which is why I addressed it specifically. Take the left's view on sodomy and homosexuality. They believe (for the most part) that an individual has the right to partake in these activities as longs as individuals involved are consenting adults- a very libertarian ideology."Left" and "Right" are typically social values that for the most part can co-mingle with authoritarian and libertarian ideologies. Of course there are exceptions, there always are...

Wtf are you going to replace our democracy with? And do you think that your libertarian dystopia can actually happen without killing off a large number of "statists"?

My own ideas? Sorry, but what you have posted are not my ideas but someone else's. I guess you are either too stupid or too dishonest to understand that.

The "US" isn't a democracy. Thus, there is no democracy to destroy. The "US" is a representative republic.

Again, you make a claim and a vague allusion to "an economics class."

I have proven you wrong. Eat it, and then come back to tell me what the truth tastes like.

It may surprise you to know that I considered this, and rejected on on account of the fact that you seem to be a libertarian.

    You are right, but wrong.
There is a more basic foundation upon which their intimidation, theft, and coercion are built. It is the foundation of fear. They fear human life because overall, they think that there is no higher intelligence in control of it. Therefore, they must do themselves, whatever they must do in order to survive.

Would you not be more patient of the thief who steals your food if he sincerely believed that his family was starving, whether or not he was correct about them?

This is the liberal plight. They truly believe that human life is a crapshoot and that the worst could happen to them (or anyone) at any time. The lying that they do to try to lessen their "chances" of suffering is understandable and forgiveable. But that does not mean that they should be allowed to run a country. And it also doesn't mean that we have to have anything to do with them outside of the necessary.

Liberalism should be shunned now and ever. Conservatism (not ConservaTIVES), but Conservatism contains all the good that Liberalism does, and little if any of the bad that Liberalism contains.
