There you go, good point. Thousands of years ago Africa enjoyed a more favorable environment, and such helped it to run their technology hand to hand with the West.

 

They were in decline when the Songhai Empire was founded.

 

The oldest man made structure is Newgrange in Ireland which predates the Pyramids by a thousand years.

 

In the 11th century Timbuktu didn't exist. By the mid 12th century is was only a camp for nomadic camel herders along caravan routes. It's height came after the Mali Empire around the 15th-16th centuries.

 

I wouldnt say the pyramid complexes were in the same level of expertise as stonehenge though. Its like comparing a wheel and a brick. Were it not for the invention of the wheel by the Sumerians, europeans would be still riding horses.

You are talking as if people deny that early civilizations arose in iraq and egypt (among other places). We are not.
