Isn't it funny how the best team in the NFL over the past 15 or so years has been the Whitest.....the Patriots........yet the league consistently drafts only about 23 percent White players

Wes Welker is an excellent receiver which I like alot, but trying to compare Welker and Tebum is a joke. I will definitely rank Welker in the top 5 receivers in the league.

It appears Tebow was a fad after all, this thread is only 1 year old and everyone caught on to him.

Ummmm..... You aren't much of a football fan, are you? Tom Brady is one of the slowest players in the league. Peyton Manning isn't too far behind either. Tom Brady has 748 career rushing yards. To put that into perspective, he has 8 more yards in 11 years as a starter, than Cam Newton had last year. Peyton Manning is at 722 for 14 years, so yeah, not great rushers to say the least.

Yep, because every good high school player who was good in high school and college, is obviously a first round pick!! :fart:

He wasn't highly drafted, just like most Texas Tech players involved in the passing game at that time weren't, because they were seen as products of mike Leach's system. And because he was short and not fast (in terms of running the 40 yard dash I mean). There are dozens of black NFL superstars with great college production, who fell in the draft. Brandon Marshall of my beloved Bears (who is up there with Welker in the conversation for 3rd best receiver in the league after Johnson and Green), fell also because his 40 time was slow. So spare us your absurd racist conspiracy theories.

So I was right and you were wrong........you said nobody would consider Welker better than Calvin Johnson. Then I point out that one of the greatest receivers in NFL history considers Welker the best receiver in the league....... You want to invoke some sort of 20 month rule......I'll give you funny......

You had to go back to before Johnson had his 2 best years to make your point. Just so happens when Detriot finally had good production from the QB.

Its 2013 not 2011. Its a weak arguement it would be like finding a person who said Albert Pujols was the best 1b in 2011 and trying to make the point that he still is ~

Thanks for proving my point.......Brandon Marshall had half the receiving yards as Welker in College......Welker was the leading punt returner in NCAA history......yet Marshall was drafted in the fourth round......and Welker wasn't even drafted and was cut by his first NFL team........all because he was a "system receiver".......lmao........have you ever referred to a black WR as a "system receiver"? I would be willing to bet that you also use the phrase "deceptively fast" when referring to white WRs......funny stuff

If they played for Mike Leach, yeah people would friend. You also don't seem to be much of a football fan. Stick to racebaiting, and avoid the football talk.

PS. Go look up the history of receivers who played for Mike Leach and their draft status. The least productive was ultimately the highest pick. Ever heard of Carlos Francis, he had similar receiving numbers to Welker. Jarrett Hicks? Nehemiah Glover? Joel Filani? All these players were highly successful under Mike Leach. Same for his QBs. All great stats, none high picks. That is the idea of a system player. Anyone who knows anything about football understands what that means.

PPS. Obviously scouts were wrong about Welker, it just had nothing to do with him being white. Jeff Samardzija would have been a first two round pick. Matt Jones was a first round pick to play wide reciever, despite the fact that he played QB in college. Impossible, he was white. Well, it turns out the draft is a crapshoot, and they overate athletic ability (which Jones had a lot of), and underrate other qualities (which Welker has a lot of). Race is irrelevant. If Tebow were black, he would be Michael Robinson right now.

You do know that your "greatest NFL receiver" had 37 yards today with no TDs today.....Welker had twice the yards and two TDs.......LMAO........but I'm sure you will say Welkers's just a deceptively fast system receiver.......and "megaton" has infinite upside potential with a room-brightening smile........who was "frustrated" today.......good stuff!

And your greatest team because they have more white players barely beat the Bills... What is your point its one game ;)

The Raiders and Jets BOTH won today probably the one time you can say that this year..... Yet again its one game.

It is one game, you are aware that it is one game. Over the last two seasons, Johnson was unquestionably better (why has this even become the topic of conversation? Oh ya, I remember. Racist red herrings). I love Wes Welker. He is one of my favorite players. He just isn't equal to Calvin Johnson.

PS. Tom Brady also is an all time great, who fell in the draft because he was too slow, his arm wasn't strong enough, and he was too skinny!! Was that because of racism too?

Raiders lost, but I agree with your point. It is one game.

Keep thinking that because with that attitude, I will win more often than not on the scrambling abilities of those two.

They both average much less than 100 rushing yards per season. If you relied on their rushing abilities, you would go 0-16.

Yes Brady's melanin content probably was the reason he was drafted so low.......the NFL is committed to promoting black quotabacks........even down to making "mistakes" in officiating.......see the Geno Smiff "penalty" today to win the game and Kapernick's second third down when it was really fourth down.....Welker and Amendola had great games this week and went undrafted......"megaton" had 37 yards and went in the first round.........lMAO....so much for "systems".......do Texas Tech, the Patriots and the Broncos all have the same system.......they probably stole it from Welker's high school where he scored 90 TDs (not a typo).....I wonder why the other NFL teams don't implement this magical "system".....LOL at the silliness.....and DWF jock sniffing......

You need to work on your reading skills. Wes Welker is a great player. No one sees him as a system player now. Coming out college though, that is exactly how they viewed him. Pretty simple stuff for anyone with even a passing knowledge of the game.

Other than being White, how do we identify these deceptively fast, lunch pail carryinying, system players......have there ever been black system WRs? If these "systems" can turn unathletic white guys into record breaking WRs then why do not all 32 NFL teams implement this magical "system".......my God.....just think of how many yards and TDs "megaton" could have if he were allowed to play in such a magical system.......instead of 37 today he might have put up 70 yards.....someone e-mail the Lions GM......I'll bet "megaton" is crying to his OC right now saying " why can't we have a system....Welker and Amendola have systems........and they put up better numbers......please get us one of those systems"......lmao at the silliness

it is not the number of yards or how fast they run the 40, it is the combination of presence in the pocket, the ability to elude defensive linemen, the ability to scramble, the ability to achieve the yards by running, and the ability to not get hurt, generally, in the process.

    - - - Updated - - -

I am not relying on their rushing abilities, but their QB IQ.

Andrew Luck put up almost the same numbers at the combine as Cam Newton we just dont see it that often but when he wants to run he is dangerous as we saw today.

More racial myths from you. Im a huge Moon fan but no one knew eho he was until that last Rose Bowl he was running the bone at Washington. Look at his college numbers. They arent very good. His first year numbers in Canada weren't vert good either.

It was in his second year in Canada when he became the Warren Moon we remember. For you to be right you would have us believe that just a few years later all the racists in the NFL were gone because Moon was the most sought after player in a generation when he was done in Canada.

So racist this racism talk about Moon. Its like how people believe the willy lynch hoax e-mail. Open your eyes and quit believing myth.
