LOL...even slow commercial jets fly faster than that.

    Bonus: They do not need tracks and can go anywhere.

    These are facts you can research on your American made iPad2.

    as usual you are wrong. Airplane travel is slower than Shinkansen. You sit at least one or two hours at airport. They can not go evrywhere, just to airports. While railway stations are in evry japanese city.

    Your lack of education and common sense gets boring.

    How much we bet Shinkansen would even kick Concorde ass between Tokyo and Kyoto?

    you and your primitive infrastructure again ha ha ha

    On a sidenote, our new Maglev Shinkansen can speed up to 700 mph. They just ordered to build a track where he can use that speed. It is limited to 400mph at moment because the tracks do not allow the higher speeds.

    An even better concept with the Shinkansen going through a vacuum tunnel would allow it to speed up to unimaginable 3.000 mph.

    It runs 311 mph on a short test track you moron. How fast can your plane go in a 20 mile distance lol. I tell you, it gets not even 40% of that speed. You are truely a subhuman. Really i demand an higher IQ from you. No matter how you do it. But remove yourself from the gene pool please. Its getting annoying. Jump out a skyscraper. Isn´t that what you guys do when facing danger?

    But let me calculate me something...

    LOL not quite.

    So it is 500, not 700. And that is Kilometers per hour...not miles per hour. 500kph is actually about 314mph. I might be able to walk faster than that.

    Not that it matters...it will not be completed until at least 2027 anyway.

    We have planes right now that can fly significantly faster. And do not require tracks.

    Maybe they will complete that one in the next couple hundred years. It will be amazing.

    Every US city has airports as well. Often several.

    Oh the irony.

    The WTC was 411 meters high...so let us calculate how fast they were when they jumped down from it.

    v=velocity
    g=acceleration (9,81m/s²)
    h= height

    the formula is:

    v= root 2*g*h

    v= root 2*9,81m/s²*411m

    v= root 8063,82 m²/s²

    v= 89,80 m/s...thats 320,4 km/h or 198.84 mph

    That means even on that short test track our Maglev is still 112,16 mph faster than someone who jumped of the WTC. You currently have no building high enough inside the USA to beat us.

    You seem to be saying you have no actual source for your claim.

    The scource is physics. I calculated what speeds those fellows achieved who jumped out the WTC. They were slow when they reached the ground...more than 112mph slower than our new Shinkansen. Lame.

    Wow, this thread of 'what would the world be like without America' turned into 'Bullet Trains vs. Airplanes'. Weird. I didn't think that was what set us apart from other countries...I thought it was greed backed by military power and isolationism from the rest of the world via propaganda sponsored by corporations which also buy government votes. Learn something new every day, I guess.

    So you have no source supporting your claims that those trains will run a billion mph (or whatever it was).

    Maybe you should study less physics and more reading, heh heh.

    - - - Updated - - -

    I am willing to bet they do have airports. Denver has at least two that I know of. Even Vail has one. Where did you go that had no airports?

    I have the scources. You are just not worth it to post it. But one for you

    "A vactrain (or vacuum tube train) is a proposed, as-yet-unbuilt design for future high-speed railroad transportation. It is a maglev line run through evacuated (air-less) or partly evacuated tubes or tunnels. The lack of air resistance could permit vactrains to use little power and to move at extremely high speeds, up to 4000–5000 mph (6400–8000 km/h, 2 km/s), or 5–6 times the speed of sound (Mach 1) at standard conditions.[1] Though the technology is currently being investigated for development of regional networks, advocates have suggested establishing vactrains for transcontinental routes to form a global network."

    pilotpoint in texas had no airport for example. all that backward rat holes you have there.

    Also one question, why is theer no plane going from San Francisco to New York each 40 Minutes like our Shinkansen=? And why can´t i just a plane from the door of the airport? why all that check in stuff that costs so much time? Why are you placed like cattle in the planes? I´m used too much more comfort in Japan.

    Uh huh

    No link huh?

    I was actually asking about existing trains...not the pretend make-believe ones that are going to be built hundreds of years from now.

    LOL...there is an airport 45 miles from there. That is about the distance it would take to drive across Denver.

    Of course, if you had a smartphone you could have found that out real easy while en route. It's an international airport no less...you could have flown back to Japan from there.

    Why should i go 45 miles to travel? Thats pretty pathetic. Why don´t you have a better infrastructure net. I want more comfort. You demand from me to go 45 miles to the next hub? pretty pathetic. As i told you. I´m used to better from my home.

    It is not as far as it seems. I am sure you car can make it there.

    I had no idea there were bullet trains within 45 miles of every point in Japan.

    No, i ask again: why do you want push so much discomfort on me when i´m used better in Japan. I need no car here. I can sleep while travel, read a book, play games. I can go anywhere within minutes i reach a hub.

    Who will drive me in that car to your airport so i can use the time for whatever i want? I don´t want bother my time with such nonsense to drive to an airport.

    You reach your pathetic infrastructure now. You admitetd it yourself that Japans infrastructure is by far superior to anything you have. You said its because we have no large military spending. So basicly you live like animals because your military?

    Umm, maybe the guy from japan forgets the fact that he lives on an island, and America is a pretty large place. Your arrogance is as bad as your ignorance.

    Did you use a Japanese train to come to America? How did you get here? Why are your airlines buying planes? Don;t you have bullet trains to take you where you need to go? heh heh

    It is fortunate that you are not very demanding on where you want to go, and that bullet trains can service the places you wish to travel. Americans are not used to being so constrained.

    On your American iPad 2?

    Most of us already own cars. Or we just take cabs. We do not typically wait in line to use communal transportation...we go where we want when we feel like it.

    Wow...that looks really uncomfortable. How do you sleep like that?

    Thats not in Kyoto.

    I sleep in my seat.

    but i can´t use american public transportation. I think i already told you i can´t stand your smell. You smell like sour milk.

    You can have a link as scource:

    http://forum.gaijinpot.com/forum/living-in-japan/health-fitness/14491-do-non-japanese-stink

    The problem of your smell is horrible for us. I can enter a room and notice there is a caucasian without even seeing him. It was so bad ...when i was in a bus in San Francisco i had to leave it earlier than planned. I just couldn´t take it any longer. I would never sit at a flight next to one of your kind.

    Returning IT, i think a bigger power among others will always exist as long as there are nations, borders and different people, it will just change name and place when it dies. The day we will no more identify us as americans, japanese, italians but citizens of the world will be a great day, but the premise i think is to put a little materialistic competition aside and be more honest to ourselves. To do that, people must be differently educated, and american way of education is something very far from what i mean as a good education, for example when i see rich celebs acting arrogant, disrespectful, and promoting that kind of behaviour to new generations on the wave of their success, it just makes me sick. To me America has great potentiality right now, both to become a good example for everyone or to become hell on earth if people go on thinking it's all ok as it is. It' time to make your choice...
