Mak is a retired mod now and she has chosen to leave the forum (or at the very least take a break from it) to pursue her love of martial arts! =) At least that's what I remember her saying. Correct me if I am wrong Mak! =P
Well, thanks. I'll really miss her. She was a good friend. I hope that she stops back here. Make, I miss you kiddo! Mike in Wisconsin
Actually, we really all live together in a special retirement home now. We spend our days mostly rocking back and forth in our chairs mumbling something about having put that darned hammer somewhere but we can't for the life of us remember exactly where. It's a pleasant enough existence, punctuated by occasional fun games of sock puppet IP bingo, but now and again one of us gets upset and has to be restrained from trying to throw infractions at the nursing staff. Those things can be heavy, and sometimes have sharp edges.
Now and again one of us escapes, seizes their former position back, and returns to the darkest depths of the forum to create havoc once more. In Sir T's case, we suspect that one of the nurses accidentally fed him after midnight, and that kind of thing always causes all sorts of trouble!
If it's the same mod I am thinking of, she is doing well in GKR karate and loves it. I think she just got two bronze medals in a local Tournament.
Hello Jason, I am still around, just don't post here anymore for various reasons. Hoosier is right - I went to a tournament yesterday and came away with two medals, which means I qualify for the not only the National Championships later this year, but also the World Cup to be held in Birmingham, England, next year. Mainly chasing my martial arts dream, getting fitter, stronger. Hoping to take part in an event called The Stampede later this year - its a 5km obstacle course with lots of mud, heavy lifting, swimming, etc. Things are okay here - sister gets married next month, work is still the same old, same old, weather is crappy and cold... Hope everyone is well.
Congrats, I know you are having fun. We have something similar here called the ToughMudder. The only thing I have done is an adventure race with my daughter.
