For all you know some might have agreed with Romney on almost all points except one which was the maker or breaker on how they were going to vote and that one issue might have caused them to vote for Obama. Well said. How many people warned him not to announce our departure? How many warned him how Iraq would be in conflict as soon as we left? How many told him how innocent children would die by pulling out without residual forces there to maintain peace? Obama turned his back and laughed. Now he acts surprised that Iraq is in ruin. Oh, he heard about it on the news, just like everyone else. This is the first he's heard about it. And after thousands have died needlessly, he sends in the drones and the left puts Obama on their shoulders and calls him a hero. This is every bit on Obama.

He's half right. What we did was depose Saddam Hussein without any clear idea of what we'd replace him with, nor with any clear idea of what sort of religious and political bombs he was sitting on. The vacuum was created the day Saddam was deposed. At enormous expense in money and lives, we've been propping up and keeping the lid on an inherently unstable situation ever since.

Are the conservatives recommending that we keep pouring thousands of American lives, tens of thousands of Iraqi lives, and $2 billion a week of taxpayer money, into maintaining that situation? Seriously?
