Don't forget: the Bible also says that men are gods.

Is there or isn't there dinosaurs in the Bible? That's an ongoing debate within the Christian community. There are those who believe in an older age for the earth and so they tend to agree that the Bible does not mention dinosaurs because according to their paradigm, dinosaurs went extinct millions of years before man ever came on the scene.

And then there are those who believe in a younger age for the earth and so they tend to agree that the Bible does mention dinosaurs, though the Bible never actually uses the word "dinosaur."

Instead the Hebrew word tanniyn is used, which is translated a few different ways in our English Bibles. Sometimes it's "serpent" and sometimes it's "sea monster" but it is most commonly translated "dragon."

The tanniyn appear to have been a giant reptile and these creatures are mentioned nearly thirty times in the Old Testament. They were found both on land and in the water.

Scholars believe the writers may have been describing dinosaurs. So depending on how you interpret the available evidences and how you view the world around you, there are dinosaurs in the Bible or there are no dinosaurs in the Bible.

Who is right?...who knows?...only Almighty God the Creator knows!

5 And Sarai said unto Abram, My wrong be upon thee: I have given my maid into thy bosom; and when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her eyes: the Lord judge between me and thee.

6 But Abram said unto Sarai, Behold, thy maid is in thine hand; do to her as it pleaseth thee. And when Sarai dealt hardly with her, she fled from her face.

It is nice to know that you do read the Bible. Read the Scripture how many times did it mention MAID? many times Hagar is the slave wife that is why she and Ishmael were the ones that was send away not Sarah and Isaac. Isaac and Sarah were given preference because Hagar is not the real wife she was just surrogate wife, a slave wife or a illegitimate wife.

You mean your question Is there any evidence in the Gospels that Barabbas was a "rapist"? Why don't you like my answer? The answer is no no mention of rapist.

Are you suggesting that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by earthquakes? That is not what the Bible says.

You have no idea what you're saying neither do I...lol

Again you have no idea what you're saying. Where do you come up with your claims? Have you been visiting those atheist websites?...lol What myths? Hebrews borrowing myths to create their own history? Sorry but you can't prove that. That is a typical thing for non-believers to say.

I believe you misunderstood what WanRen was saying, I just don't see where he said there was a sudden land bridge collapse that killed all the dinosaurs...lol

Read what he said again very slowly this time and maybe just maybe you will not misinterpret what he said.

Well of course they're not literally doing that with the Bible in their hands as they do their work...lol but you must realize there are archeologists and geologists who are Christians and they do this work to authenticate the Scriptures of the Holy Bible. And from the looks of things they have been doing that alot lately.

No you don't have one...dinosaurs don't exist today because they are extinct. And whatever you have did not evolve from a dinosaur. Sorry but that's just the plain old truth.

what have archaeologists and geologists (whether religious or not), confirmed about the bible apart from places and times, and a few famous names? where is the science confirming miracles? the only meaningful findings from a theist point of view. anything is entirely prosaic and bog ordinary.

In other words you are suggesting a local flood, sorry but a universal flood means the whole world was flooded. Besides if it was a local flood, God wouldn't have told Noah to build the Ark, He would have told him to move far away from his home to higher ground.

Scripture tells us that the highest mountains on earth were covered with the water rising more than 22 feet above the highest peaks and so again that could not be a local flood. It would be absurd to think that a flood covering the highest mountains of the Middle East would not affect the rest of the world.

Sorry but you can't possibly know that, you speak as though you are omniscient or something...lol

Scripture gives us a hint that the mountains were lower than they are now. How much lower? Scripture doesn't tell us.

We humans just don't know everything there is to know, and never will especially about our past. We will never ever be omniscient like Almighty God our Creator!

Speaking about Almighty God our Creator, since He is omniscient and never lies, I believe everything He has told us in His best selling book of all time, the Holy Bible.

When it comes to Almighty God our Creator, nothing is impossible for Him...nothing that is contrary to His character and nature that is.

Sodom and Gomorrah is far older than the Bible story... It was destroyed a thousand years before Abraham or Lot...

Its a legend as in what happened here in this strange, desolate place???? And they invented a story about God's punishment of people they fancied weren't LIKE them.

Yes, the Hebrews borrowed heavily from Ugarit.. ( north coast Canaanites) some of the psalms come directly from Ugarit poetry and the cuneiform tablets that were found... they predate both the Hebrews and the Philistines.

As for birds.. yes they are descended (or evolved from dinosaurs)......

The word in scripture is Eretz.. meaning land.. and it is used the same way throughout the Bible.. It means LAND not earth..

Check for yourself.. "there was famine in the land".... doesn't mean there was famine in the whole earth..

The land the Hebrews knew was small as they never traveled far in their lifetimes.

Yes the epic story of the flood claims the highest mountains were covered with 22 feet of water. That should make you laugh..

There nearest mountains were the Zagros and there is no way Noah or Moses could see that far.. Meanwhile the Euphrates basin is flat.

The Aztecs exterminated thousands of indigenous tribes the Spaniards stopped that and liberated Mexico from the Aztecs.

Aztec religion was based on the belief of the constant offering of human blood to continue functioning; to meet this need, the Aztec sacrificed thousands of people. This belief is thought to have been common throughout Nahuatl people. To acquire captives in times of peace, the Aztec resorted to a form of ritual warfare called flower war. The Tlaxcalteca, among other Nahuatl nations, were forced into such wars.

So far we read many false information about the Bible coming from atheist, agnostics and anti Christians false claims such as God punished the innocent, Noah's flood did not happened, Hagar is the legitimate wife of Abraham, Exodus is fictional, Barabas is the same as Jesus Christ etc.

    WanRen-

"When Pontius Pilate presented to the crowd two men Jesus Christ a Holy man and Barabas a criminal, rapist,..."

Yes Barabas was presented to the crowd a criminal and rapist. Are you saying a rapist is not a criminal? I can understand back then and still now in many places of the the world rapist is not consider a criminal.
Is it false information for me to say that Barabas is also a criminal, rapist. thieve, murderer etc? No
Is it false information to insist that he is not a rapist? Yes.
Mit and other Christians dislike your post because it is full of false information.
You can cherry pick all you want the fact still remain that Barabas was a criminals and that Jesus Christ is the Son of God the Messiah.

Are you TWO separate people using the same account? Or couid it be...

What Are the Symptoms of Dissociative Identity Disorder?

Dissociative identity disorder is characterized by the presence of two or more distinct or split identities or personality states that continually have power over the person's behavior. With dissociative identity disorder, there's also an inability to recall key personal information that is too far-reaching to be explained as mere forgetfulness. With dissociative identity disorder, there are also highly distinct memory variations, which fluctuate with the person's split personality.

Now back to you deceitful ways. After you crawled yourself out of the hole for all the wrong backward statements you have been making.

The discussion was not hagar being legitimate wife, but Ishmael being a legitimate son.
No one has said anything about a rapist being a criminal or not a criminal. That is/was not the topic of discussion. That was your crawling out of a lie to cover your butt. You claimed barrabas was a rapist. The bible doesn't say that you made it up out of thin air.

Yes, it is false information to state something in the bible that is not there.
Mitt likes your posts because you make wild unfounded ASSumptions about the bible, which he believes, but doesn't have to actually say it so his posts don't come off as being out of touch with reality.

We Christians have been very successful in uncovering all the deceits, distortions and misinformation about the historicity of the Bible especially about Jesus Christ that is why atheist, agnostics and anti Christians will always contradict themselves.

Both Hagar and Ishmael are illegitimate Hagar the illegitimate wife and Ishmael the illegitimate son that is why both were sent away and preference were given to the legitimate son Isaac and legitimate wife Sarah.
The topic of discussion was Barabbas the criminal and Jesus Christ the Holy man and my claim that as a notorious criminal Barabbas is also a rapist is no lie and your group expanded the discussion to defend Barabbas that he is not a rapist only a criminal without giving any specifics what kind of criminal? You accuse me of lying about Barabbas? I don't need to lie about a criminal. Defend Barabbas all you want he will always be a criminal, a thief, a murderer and a rapist.

Indeed it is false information to claim that God in Noah's flood punished the innocent or that Ishamel and Hagar are not illegitimate son and wife of Abraham that is why we are here to stop all these false information and we have been very successful.

Mitt like my post not because of what I post but because he just like all of us Christians we believe in Jesus Christ, we believe in the historicity of the Holy Bible and in regards to Barabbas we believe that Barabbas was a very bad man (oops I said he is a BAD MAN the Bible did not said he is a BAD MAN only a criminal) and that it was a big mistake for the crowds of the Pharisees to chose Barabbas over Jesus Christ.

Are you really interested in the integrity of the Holy Bible or is this really about defending Barabbas?

Maybe you can do a attendance check or head count?
