In China Vladimir Putin is called Putin the Great. In Serbia and Montenego he has a higher rating than their own presidents. Anyway here are some excerpts from 'Russia Insider' titled: Just How Civilized Is Western Civilization:

"...Human rights, the rule of law, democracy, freedom, market economy -- these were and still are the buzz words associated with Western values. Fresh from the yoke of communism, Russians were eager to embrace all of these ideals, and confidently expected them to materialize with help from the United States..."

"...The dark years of totalitarian communism were receding into the past, and the peoples of Russia were ready and eager to join the great family of the Western civilization led by the United States..."

"...What actually came about was somewhat different. Russia’s economy crashed worse than in World War II. Millions lost their jobs and the means of earning a livelihood. The freedom of pursuing economic prosperity morphed into the freedom of banditry. Bandit capitalism became the prevailing economic order..."

"...The West has actually abetted this state of affairs with its numerous advisors and IMF officials. All this was clearly described in the 2000 Congressional report, “Russia’s Road to Corruption,” commissioned by House Speaker Dennis Hastert..."

"...Time and again the Russians – not just the elite, but the citizenry, too – watched with amazement and shock at the methods used by the West to promote its "values".

"...In the last fifteen years alone they witnessed the bombing of Belgrade and breakdown of Serbia; the ousting of legally elected governments through “color” revolutions; assaults on Iraq, Libya, Syria; the “Arab Spring" - all leaving a bloody trail of hundreds of thousands dead, chaos, ruin, hatred and strife, not to mention the rise of a new generation of terrorists which make Al-Qaida blush..."

"...What is happening in Ukraine - a country that for centuries has been tied to Russia through family, religion, culture and commerce - has dispelled the last illusions among Russians about the West..."

How do you not???? It's common knowledge that the kremlin blocks hundreds of sites, some for legitimate reasons, but most because they show a difference of opinion to the one the kremlin wants fed to their citizens.

    http://www.buzzfeed.com/patricksmith/russia-is-threatening-to-block-the-bbcs-website-because-it-i

And this all started on 2012 so... Yeah. Hey look at all those sites they blocked in the past few months? They all have a certain theme in common. Can you see what it is?

It really is a sad thought. Who wants a new Iron Curtain, a new Cold War?

Of course, the US has been leading the push for one.. But I do hate to see Russia reacting in kind. It does take two.

Washington doesn't block anything, they control the corporate medias so they won't show what Washington doesn't want them to show. Have you seen any videos of what is 'really' going on in Ukraine? There are hundred of them. I suggest you go on to Youtube and look for; atrocities in Lugansk, Slaviansk, Donesk, Odessa, Mariupol and then tell me if any of those videos have been shown in the Western Media, or if any of these atrocities have even been mentioned? Then go to foreign news sources in countries which are not controlled by Washington, and find out what is really going on.

Now here's a German satire that is going all over the world. At the beginning it's a little difficult to catch on, but it reveals quite a few things so I suggest you watch it to the end, it's very short but you will learn quite a few things.

Nice try at a spin kid, but not one thing I was talking about was even remotely related to media. I know you didn't actually look at what I was saying but go ahead and look and you'll see I'm talking about things on the INTERNET! You even say yourself "Washington doesn't block anything". Yeah I'm not saying that there are things that the US media doesn't report however that is irrelevant because I don't have to depend solely on them for information. At any point in time I can pull out my phone, go to google and type "truth about Ukraine" and have unrestricted access to all information on the subject regardless of what it says, who posted it, and who's side it supports. In Russia, however, as I have already provided sources showing this is not the case. The kremlin actually BANS hundreds if not thousands of actual sources ON THE INTERNET the vast majority of which are banned be a use they either disagree with the kremlin narrative or they criticize it. That means that the Russian people are almost completely dependent on THE KREMLIN for any and all information. That the only thing they know about Ukraine is what their government tells them they can know. I, in America, can go to RT any second right now and read up on their propaganda. People in Russia, however, are restricted in their ability to access alternative information sources to get their facts. Do you see the difference? I know I'm talking to a paid kremlin troll but you have to be absolutely retarded to or see the problem with that. You have the nerve to criticize the US because it's media reports in ways favorable to the US and that's it when at the same time not only does Russia DO THE SAME (*)(*)(*)(*)ING THING but also doesn't even allow it's citizens the opportunity to view alternative information sources. That is textbook propaganda totalitarianism.

Still, it's hard to respect a top-down regime that tries to censor everything the people it herds around see and hear. It hardly gets more Orwellian than that, and I have no respect for such governments.

And also the ones that have brought 500 million of their fellow citizens out of absolute poverty within the last 60 years. That's a huge success story you won't hear mentioned on the BBC.

hundreds?!.. stop telling lies, because so far Russia's blocked only a couple!

those that show 'difference of opinion' are sponsored by the West and spread falsehood in order to insult Russians and their country's achievements.

Do you have a source that shows it's "only a couple"? I provided several sources that show the scope and scale of the Russian propaganda.

And how cute. That's exactly the kind of response one would expect from a paid kremlin troll from one of the worlds most corrupt brainwashing propaganda nations. Any source that doesn't toe the line and follow the kremlins narrative to the letter is just "western sponsored" to "spread falsehood and lies". Thank you for proving my point kremlin troll. Your overseer needs to try harder.

Did you read my post? Cause I clearly stated that I have already provided several sources showing this scale of the Russian blackout of truth. And we all already know that you and several other people (you know who you are) are members of the kremlin disinformation troll squads that were created to spread lies about the Ukraine incident. You don't have to hide it. Mid say you don't have to be ashamed of it but you should so. A stronger argument? Hahahaha. What argument? Your sole counter argument to anything the west says is "it's a lie". That's it. No presentation of refuting facts, no actual formulated and constructive argument. No. Your sole rebuttal to anything we say us "it's a lie".

those 'several' sources don't nearly amount to 'hundreds' cases you claimed happened.

how do you know?.. by staring into the crystal ball?

My sources weren't meant to list each and every thing Russia censors. But it shows the scope and scale of the Russian censorship which would put it in the hundreds if not thousands. Deal with it.

And it's obvious. Look at this forum. Go to the comment section of any news agency covering things like Ukraine of Syria or Crimea. It's already been proven. Russia doesn't even try and deny it. Look up the crap.

Did you read the article? This is from USA, not from RT. Do not spread your own BS, read first. Every country has some dark sides, but every co8untry has right to be selective, when it comes to exchange with values.

If your going to try and talk to me please quote me so I know you are. Only saw thus cause I was responding to the other kremlinite. Anyway. Your source makes what difference? Who cares if it was American or Russian or Korean? I did read it and if you had you'd see it actual trumps your argument since it claims it's not actually satanist trying to do carp but atheist trying to attack Christianity. But that doesn't matter because my point was that your reasoning for this being "a good thing" is what's BS. Because out of the years we've been doing this and the thousands of Russians who have benefited from this US paid for program 1 (*)(*)(*)(*)er ended up in a home of a gay couple. Woop de (*)(*)(*)(*)ing do. When he came over here was there any type of rule or law stating that he wasn't allowed to stay with a gay couple? If not then this is Russia's fault. And just 1 (*)(*)(*)(*)ers crap is going to ruin it for thousands more? You know who loses in this situation right? Not the US. This literally doesn't effect us whatsoever. No. It's the Russian children who get (*)(*)(*)(*)ed over. So clap clap for your "it's a good thing". At least i already got to enjoy my Russian exchange student when I was in highschool. Damn she was fine.

...if not millions; or billions; hey let's go West info style right away - hundreds of thousands of millions of billions and so on!

you forgot to mention these are Western news agencies, thus presenting a distorted picture of the events.
