Do you think, that it doesn't matter if they're male or female, what matters is how qualified they are for leading our country?

Nothing makes me more certain that a woman will soon be president than the fact that Rep. Bachmann says it won't happen. And I'm not talking about Hillary, by the way.

I don't care about the gender. But I'm VERY ANNOYED that other people seemingly care very much about gender, and other things. "oh my god, this could be the first black/hispanic/female/gay/atheist/muslim/alien/hamster/whatever president!! We must vote for him/her/it because it's the first!"

That mentality is retarded, and it seriously bothers me that people would vote for people for some idiotic symbolic meaning, rather than their qualifications.

I agree but we have a country where women and minorities have been shut out for centuries....I am very annoyed that some people think only white males should get that far.

And for every voter that votes for someone because they're black or female there are also many who vote against them because they're black or female so it evens out....

If someone is an idiot an votes based on race, religion or sex, it only makes it twice as worse to try to "cancel" that stupid vote, by also voting based on race, religion and sex. The net result it twice as many stupid votes.

But that's the way they vote in the USA. They're told how historic this will be, and all of the people who have never had their 15 minutes of fame, jump on the bandwagon to say they voted for the first whatever. American voters are a simple and predictable lot, and are easily led to conclusions. The US educational system does not teach them to think critically, but to follow the guidelines laid out by their educators and teh liberal media.

Female president? I think we have enough problems with estrogen in the Congress. Can you imagine the president PMSing and having control over "THE BUTTON?"

After witnessing the train wreck that was the State Dept under Hillary's command she is already out for President in 2016 in my opinion. If she couldn't handle the State Dept without the first U.S. Ambassador since 1979 getting killed in the line of duty, why on Earth would anyone think she could handle the whole country?

Ya know , you have a good point , no one should vote for someone because they're female....but see the quote bolded above , the old trite sexist STUPIDITY ABOUT WOMEN AND PMS ?? That kind of ignorant crap is what has been used by cavemen to keep women out.....and THAT is much more STUPID than voting for someone because they're female...

It doesn't matter to me. I am more interested in qualifications, ideology and if I think whomever will make a good president and has a vision on where she or he would want to lead the country. Gender means nothing.

I have lived for many decades and seen many things. I have been under control of a woman for 42 years, and had two female offspring as well. I have experienced things single and gay men will never know.

Well, every known politician(especially in the 19th century ;) ) penned that the voting populace is essentially retarded, and my experience as a parcel part of this group has only confirmed: I'm the only sane man in an insane world. Of course, a person's qualifications, their knowledge, reasoning goes above and beyond their race, gender, religion, sexuality, etc.

You haven't seen enough if you think the only three women you know are representatives of ALL women.

What Do You Think About A Female President?

Is that or isn't it the title of the thread?

I'd vote for Condi Rice in a heart beat if she'd run. As far as Hillary goes she would become the second oldest President on inauguration day if elected. I think her judgement has already speaks for itself by decisions made at the State Dept under her command.

It makes no difference. But-------------when people vote for a person just on the basis of sex or race, they are stupid. Just look who we got because idiots voted for Obama just because he was black.

While one party is more concerned about celebrity, and would love to place the "first" this and "first" that in office.... thankfully others are concerned about ability and character.

Male vs. female is not the issue. Integrity, and the ability to do the job without constantly lying to the people ... is.

Which is why I wouldn't want a president who lies about taxes/healthcare or sniper fire. Male or female.

this.... like our first black president..... I'm not so much concerned he's black, but by his policies I don't agree with.

Same with a woman. If she's a conservative..... I'm fine with that. I just know, if she's liberal, and I don't support her, I will immediately be deemed a misogynist, a sexist, and a woman hater by the left, just like they label me a racist, and a bigot because I don't support Obama's policies...

same hypothetical applies to our first gay POTUS (although, if you want to get technical, Buchanan was our first gay POTUS), our first Jewish POTUS, our first Scientologist.....

I support you based on your policies.... not your gender, religion, race.

Actually, I think we have a pretty good idea. Texas flatly rejected the insanity that was Wendy Davis(thank GOD. We don't need more loons in the legislature, we already have enough across the U.S.) If Society was ever tilted one way, it's being titled the other way. However, whereas in the past females enjoyed privilege for being women(whether you want to acknowledge that, or not), men in disenfranchised America do not have any such privilege but retribution.

Since, after all they headed this invisible thing called a 'patriarchy!' Never mind that women once ruled the amazoness and were as beastly as men. "We came, we saw, he died!". But really, from Palin to Bachmann, to Wendy Davis to that NY senator, arguing about the defenseless women in the U.S military, while not questioning whether or not women should be serving to begin with.

Why have Feminists started a movement to serve in the first place? Considering they hate the so-called patriarchy and everything it stands for, why on earth would they willingly volunteer to become foot soldiers? Is it in the hopes that just like African-Americans who fought in WWI, that fighting will come with its own political rewards? But the African-Americans were truly disenfranchised at the time, what feminists want is social legislation that might be nice for them but not overtly necessary(and in fact, complicates things in terms of the flex-wage)

Or, is it to just remove one more "institution" that was male-dominated, making it "female inclusive" and thereby, supposedly better? Because it has women in it? Is Feminism not then the definition of sexism? And if Feminists succeed in eliminating every male majority in every sect of society, what will this Holy Order of Feminism give us?

That's the one thing we don't know, what's the Feminist End Game when the Patriarchy no longer exists? It can't be equality, the very topic is taboo when it comes to abortion famously. Not needing to go there, but that position shows you where they stand on equality as a whole: They don't believe in it. Is it female supremacy? Now we know why it's called Feminism. XD

There was once a saying that every 'ism' is dangerous. We can add Feminism to a very long list of 'ism' dangers.

You haven't seen enough if you think the only three women you know are representatives of ALL women.

What has feminism got to do with electing a CITIZEN of the US as President???????

YOU are using extremist feminists to say, ""Women should not be allowed to vote or own their own property.""
