Bush won around 40% of the Hispanic vote twice. It entirely depends on if they run another Mitt Romney who basically ran as a xenophobe or if they run someone who is less dogmatic on immigration. I am one of those people who wants to increase immigration for the upcoming war with Canada. I would just give special preference to people qualified in STEM fields and move them up to the front of the line. If you don't have any valuable skills then you get pushed to the back of the line. This way we get the best of both worlds, people qualified in the fields that we have shortages of workers in and keeping out people we really don't need at this time. You can expand the worker visa programs if you need a large influx of manual labor at some point.

It seems to come down to your being very upset by the American electorate's twice choosing Barack Obama to lead the nation, and my being accepting of their regard for his performance as being relatively mediocre.

If you derive some modicum of solace from the 2012 electorate that voted him a second term being 72% White, that's fine with me. The importance of an individual American's vote in a presidential election varies by state since it is electoral votes that are thereby allocated, but race or ethnicity does not impart any special significance either positive or negative.

Perhaps, you had been similarly distressed by one of the White guys that had preceded him, or your animus may be directed at the incumbent exclusively. In any event it is your personal opinion, and I am far more receptive to Americans' collective estimation that strikes me as far more just by dint of its aggregate balance. Extremists at either end of the spectrum are modified by most Americans who are centrists.

Your confusion is easily alleviated by my simply noting that I never said any such thing.

Glad I could be of help.

I survived Carter, this clown is no different.

I don't care what color voters are. That seems to be your issue. Lefties are color obsessed after all. Don't divert because I destroyed yet one more of your fables. Get used to it.

No need to project. White guys make you angry. It's a liberal phenomenon probably rooted in white guilt if you are a white person. Do you see white people in your sleep?

    http://www.latinodecisions.com/blog...an-have-chance-to-win-over-40-of-latino-vote/

Bush and Ryan are dead in the water but Rubio is a potential contender. If Ryan can get 40% of the vote then someone like Walker or Rand could to it as well if they soften up on immigration. Unlike blacks Hispanics are not nearly as monolithic which is why the GOP will chase the Hispanic vote. Just don't waste valuable resources on the black vote, that is a lost cause and not worth the effort.

You cannot cite a single post to substantiate your fase assertion: "you said only whites were angry."

You'd do well to follow my example and stick to the truth.

You are not making sense. Yes, the American electorate chose as the nation's leader a non-White guy after an unbroken run of 42 White guys over a 220 year span.

If you are struggling to get used to it, good for you. Raving that he must be a foreign-born, islamist, communist and depicting him as an African witch doctor only made TPs look very, very silly.

Hard to say, but they may be more galvanized to vote for Ben Carson than they ever were to vote for Herman Cain

I have emailed every African American(black) organization I could find asking them to run for office as a Republican. It is important they speak out as the Republicans many of this minority are. Minority Republicans are attacked by Democrats. Strange, republicans don't attack minorities that are Democrats. Why? because we believe it is the right of all people to belong to the Religion or Political Party they believe in. This is what the constitution provides us. Yet, Democrats verbally attack and criticize non-democrats. Objecting to everything they say or believe in without providing factual reasons for doing so. I can only hope the voters elect a Moderate President in 2016 regardless of their political affiliation, so no Clinton. Hope the Dems offer a moderate candidate. As I hope the Republicans also do. I am a libertarian, and a moderate is closest to that. IMO

From 1964 thru 2004 blacks voted from 85-90% Democratic in presidential elections. In 2008 that shot up to 95% and dropped back a couple of points in 2012. I would assume in 2016 since Obama is not running the black vote will be back in the 85-90% range which has been the norm for the last 60 years of so.

All you've been raving about is angry white guys. Grow up, let it go and move on. You're raced obsessed and childishly assume that anyone who doesn't like Obama must be also. Try thinking a little deeper. There is plenty to dislike about his job performance unless you're one of his sycophants.

You would do well to start posting some truth.

In this case history is completely irrelevant, most people for instance don't continue to believe that all Germans are Nazi's just because of WWII. It's more of a case of "What have you done for me lately!" And lately, Democrats have done more (arguably) for blacks than Republicans.

I doubt it. Any day now the skeletons will begin falling out of Ben Carson's closet just like they fell out of Herman Cain's. Then it will be "adios amigo, Ben." :roflol:

That is correct. The target is no longer the "black" vote...a constituency solidly embedded in the demoncratic plantation.....the "golden egg" now is the Hispanic barrio voting block that is about to be expanded by the creation of instant demoncrat votes through immigration amnesty and citizenship.

The problem is the GOP isn't going to be pandering to the same type of voters forever.

After Romney got his ass handed to him in 2012, the GOP did an autopsy report which concluded that they needed to gain significant support from minorities, especially the growing "hispanic" population, in order to remain relevant as a political party, and win future presidential elections. Being the party where damn near 90% of your voters are only white doesn't work anymore. Obama received one of the lowest support from white voters in a presidential election in years, and yet still won, and won pretty big too.

This is why you'll see the GOP presidential nominee in 2016 support what the right considers "amnesty". The GOP simply can't survive being a party that specifically panders to older white voters anymore. Senator Lindsey Graham said it best here: “The demographics race we’re losing badly,” said Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (S.C.). “We’re not generating enough angry white guys to stay in business for the long term.”

Leftwingers almost invariably end up accusing any Right of Center poster daring to address the issue of race in politics or national news of being in some way racist and that is playing the Race Card. It's so automatic on the Left that most of them no longer seem aware of the intellectual process. Bringing up race is not playing the Race Card. Intimating that the other side is racist just because the issue of racism is raised IS playing the Race Card.

One reason I'll be glad to see Obama slime his way out of office at the end of 2016 is because then leftists will have to break in a new deck. What will it be next time, the Misogyny Card?

Well, I don't know about that. It seems these days right wingers and their constant obsession with "white culture" supposedly being destroyed by EVIL brown and black minorities, and how Obama, Holder, and basically every single black politician hates white people, are the ones playing the so called "race card" today. So if the so called EVIL left wingers have played the "race card" too much, it see their right wing opponents have surpassed them in that sense.

I hope blacks start voting for republicans instead of the democrats who think they own them and take their votes for granted.
