It's always a double standard when it comes to lesbians and bi females.

This is why I've always thought this anti-gay stuff isn't about religion or reason, it's based in a subliminal fear about the loss of patriarchy.

The most religious and socially conservative countries in the world, the ones that shun male homosexuals to the point of sometimes capital murder are also the same one's which don't allow women to vote and which allow males to have child brides and/or as many female spouses as they can afford. For some bizarre reason, social-conservatives often cite these outcomes as a natural progression from SSM. Why, when the very opposite is clearly evinced in history and around the globe to this present day?

I don't think this is mere coincidence

No its not. Straight men like women we dont care if they want it or not. Like I said we are pigs :)

Im a deist and a libertarian I dont use religion to oppose SSM

I oppose all government involvement with marriage no matter the gender or sexual persuasion .

If a church wants to marry you be my guest but dont go looking to the government for special treatment.

I was talking about it as it relates to "policy" not personality. This is a political forum.

I try to be very careful about what I say, here's my original quote:

If you didn't catch that, you've kind of missed the point of what I was trying to say.

    That's a defensible position.

I'm an atheist and I was married by a JP in the County Clerks office. I think the civil aspect is very important in terms of tax planning, inheritance POA and a host of other areas. Not to mention the aspects of responsibility one also takes on which can potentially save the government (and by extension the taxpayer) considerable amounts of money. I personally think marriage works very well as a legal institution but, if you think it's important to dismantle marriage from an ethical or political standpoint then the system is there for you to avail.

You can get another contract to handle that. Then everyone is equal. Make it civil unions for everyone get your own contract drawn up

Again that's a defensible position by why bother to change the name if it's "marriage" in every other respect? Seems a bit pointless to me.

Seriously? I know that Alexander was mocked by Plutarch as he says the young king had been conquered by the muscular legs of his friend and companion Ephestion, suggesting that homo relationships were mocked in the past as they are today, but i've never read about someone getting punished because of that, unless it was a forced sexual intercourse or it was an adult with a kid, in which case it was considered a crime.

Well because it unreasonably (and by judicial order, unconstitutionally) excluded a whole bunch of people for no apparent reason. That said I don't really want to spend hours re-litigating same-sex marriage (I spent the last ten years doing that). It's over, the position I supported won as I always predicted it would.

I was really here to talk about nacho chips and their relevance to suicide and the free market.

    Boycott Doritos.

Why is the GCC so much, "in your face", now literally.
    GCC = Gender Confused Community.

As if 24 / 7 Cait Programming on one cable box channel, look for "I Am Cait", etc.
As if that wasn't "in your face" enough - now the GCC and their friends at Frito Lay
go for the literal, "in your face" by bringing up, "sexual preference" in every bite.
Y'know there are other things I'd rather consider as I eat.
"Doesn't matter. In Your Face", says the GCC.

No one is forcing you (or anyone else) to watch it or buy a certain product.
Good luck with your boycott. /sarc/

To me the rainbow doesn't represent "gays", it just represents "gay activists".

Even if I was gay I wouldn't want a bunch of stupid SJWs with rainbow flags claiming to represent "me".

Ah but having a system that considered gays as undesirable also contributed to the spread of the disease. Only after gays started putting political pressure that the gov invested in research to battle the disease. If they had stayed in the shadows, aids would still be the terrible killer that it was in the 80's, yet today with tri-therapy people with aids can control the disease and live productive lives.

Last thing I want to think about when I'm eating is some man putting his junk in another guy's hairy rump, but that's just me.

Be prepared to boycott Taco Bell too, if they offer such a Taco shell.
They already offer a Dorito Taco shell.
We can make it Chick-o-Fil in reverse
And there are more if us who do not qualify as part of the GCC (Gender Confused Community)
