None of the sanders people are going to vote for her if she steals the nomination. My god, the republicans may walk away with the biggest landslide in US history because of this.
And I thought the GOP was the Stupid Party. Both party establishments must be filled with overconfidence.
Really funny thing is that they put that poor socialist nursing home patient up as a patsy to be mauled by Hillary to set her up for the general. Instead, he is someone that can differentiate himself clearly on most issues and can run on being completely honest. They know he will get killed in the general making Hillary their must win candidate. They did this to themselves.
Both party establishments are corrupt - and oddly similar. A little real opposition would be nice - for a change. The DPe and the GOPe are all sound and fury - posturing for the cameras and the donors.
i know right? So this is with sanders with a 20? point lead. what does he actually need to win by to you know.. win ?
I am not familiar with the math, but it looks like he could win every primary in a landslide and still lose. Does someone know? Does the guy even have a chance?
I am not that familiar with the DP primary rules, but can Sanders win most of the primaries and still lose the nomination because of the DC insider super delegates? Will the DNC let that happen?
Not in New Hampshire. The DNC declared Sanders the victor, not Hillary (who btw conceded the election); not taking sides, but we should be factual in this.
It's irrelevant since DNC rules apply here. Just to cover myself before initially responding I did a search on google and not one article or piece of breaking news claiming Hillary Clinton the winner other then speculation. If Hillary was declared the winner, why hasn't the main stream media jumped all over it??
To clarify the OP might be talking about super delegates which Hillary locked up eons ago by throwing lots of money around. Sanders would have to win a large majority of the regular delegates in order to get the nomination. Its possible he won NH but Hillary still might have the superdelegates from that state already locked up anyways. The super delegates are usually bundlers or other "stars" of the party with extra powers.
Clinton has 394 and Bernie has 44 after a tie and a landslide victory for Bernie, lol. There are 4,763 total. 2,382 are needed to win. Hillary is at a 45 to 1 super delegate clip. If that holds up, she would get 696 super delegates. She would only have to win 42% of the people's delegates to win.
Super delegates which are not bound via any vote is why Clinton walks away with more delegates in New Hampshire.
That's the AP numbers. If you also count the democratic elected officials which also are free agents not bound by any vote the total is closer to 525 to 60 after and including the delegates from Iowa and New Hampshire.
