Now that we're nearing the end of Obama's two terms in office, I want to see how everyone ranks the president on a scale from 1-43 among all the other 42 presidents in the history of the United States. 1 is the best and 43 is the worst. The poll includes ranges as options but you can get more specific if you want to post about it.
Obama is definitely one of the best President of the USA.
Eh, probably 22-28. Right around there. Obama hasn't been the worst President by any stretch. But he also hasn't been that great either. He's mostly been a disappointment to me. Alot of campaign promises went unhonored, and he slid further to the center than he was in 2008 on the campaign trail. Gitmo is still open, our troops are still overseas, and he has continued the infringement of our civil liberties (Patriot Act extension/indefinite detention/NSA spying). So yeah, he's a middle-tier President. Nothing great, but we've definitely had worse.
I am changing my opinion as this guy speaks What a good speaker. Too bad his record is crap and that's how I rate him.
Barack Obama? Tied for being the gut-bucket worst president in our history. Obama is even worse than Lyndon Johnson or Richard Nixon, and The Messiah would be as bad as Frankie Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln but for the fact that he wasn't responsible for getting over a half-million military personnel killed or very badly wounded for life. What are some of the things that even those who kiss Obama's ass cannot deny? 1. He's an entrenched LIAR of the first order! Obamacare?! 2. He's a lawbreaker! Overthrew the government of Libya for no reason, made illegal recess appointments, and illegally traded 5 Taliban field commanders for Bowe Bergdahl. 3. He ignores the Constitutional limit on authority of the Executive Branch! Illegal mangling of the immigration laws. 4. He deliberately continued American commitment to Afghanistan with his "Midnight Deal" that will keep American military forces there until at least 2024: http://www.commondreams.org/news/2012/05/02/obamas-midnight-deal-will-stretch-afghan-war-2024 I could go on and on, and I have, many times, in this Forum. But we are a hopelessly divided people now. Those of us who know these things about Obama are solid in our opinion, and those who choose to ignore these things about him will go right on blithely ignoring them or trying to dredge up the ghost of "W" Bush to deflect our attention. Simply put -- Obama has been an absolutely catastrophic, ruinous president who has excelled at two things: 1. He has set the cause of racial harmony and national security back decades. 2. And, in fairness, like "W" Bush before him, Obama has been a docile, compliant puppet for the Federal Reserve System which really runs the economy and everything in it.... And you know what...? Hilarity Clinton is going to be just like Obama, guaranteeing us a possible even worse "third-term"....
This would be already enough to define the present President and his administration [and Hillary has "served" in his administration as well, but may be it was the administration to serve her ...], but there is something more and quite peculiar: he's an idealist and for a politician this can be a dream or a nightmare, depending on how the politician is successful in making ideals become pragmatic policies. Obama the idealist has offered to the United States the dream of a different and better country ... a kind of New Age. Reality? His ideals have stayed in a drawer and probably the most painful aspect of these United States is that the first African American President has been seeing the highest racial tenses in the last decades [it sounds absurd, but it's the sad reality].
I went to college with people like Obama. I've seen them and listened to them for decades. Simply put, their "dream" is little more than a stylized power grab, based on twisted concepts of entitlement, wealth redistribution, and the manipulative use of propaganda to malign, belittle, and destroy the very people who made the United States the most innovative, productive, and powerful nation on Earth. Obama is the very carefully-selected image of a politically-correct, lock-step radical socialist, elevated to take advantage of a growing body of infused "White guilt", and leverage that into a greater dumbing-down of our entire society because of forced 'inclusion' of elements of humanity that have never been conspicuously good at anything but building thatched huts, eating wild animals, and slash-and-burn agriculture since the Stone Age. Where will it lead? Re-read George Orwell's masterpiece, "1984". It's all there. The Obama difference? "Big Brother" had a half-Black face....
And you should wonder why the US electors haven't been so enthusiast about Obama administration: if US electors didn't vote Republican ... the conservatives were in condition to do a blessed nut. So you can thank US electors ...
POST OF THE YEAR! Let's have a vote on this at year's end. - - - Updated - - - somewhere towards the top - and vastly SUPERIOR to his Republican predecessor
History will remember Obama as an unusually effective and powerful President. He has dominated the Congress since he took office, and if Mosul is retaken without a major deployment of US troops Obama will be further validated.
Obama is a good Muslim, but a terrible Christian. One cannot be a liberal Democrat and a Christian. It is not possible.
I tend to agree with Jill Stein's take on Hilary Clinton: "Despite Hillary's penchant for flip-flopping rhetoric, she's spent decades serving the causes of the Wall Street, war, & Walmart economy." Jill Stein, AP, Who's Jill Stein? Googlers are asking, and the answer is: Clinton's new problem, Alexander Panetta, 7/13/16. http://www.ctvnews.ca/world/who-s-j...the-answer-is-clinton-s-new-problem-1.2985936
It would be hard to prove that Bush is a traitor or that Obama is a patriot. OTH, both Bushes were very ineffective Presidents, as opposed to Obama who has clearly been a very effective powerful President.
An other problem for Mrs Clinton? You give me the occasion to create an acronym for Hillary in case she will become President: PP = Problems President.
Well its pretty hard as Obama is certainly very rank - - - Updated - - - Obama has spent us into oblivion. Not that GWB was much better.
