You can misquote me if you like but I will correct you. Might makes right as expressed thru the will of the people is what I said. Clearly the will of the people even in germany did not want a holocaust.
Certainly some governments can misinterpret the will of the people and abuse the system. But in the end tyrants always fail. Always.
How though? Be specific to Newton's discovery of calculus. America began as a libertarian country. Just read the Declaration of Independence. It is arguably the most libertarian political document in history.
According to the 2016 State of World Liberty Index, the 10 most libertarian countries are: New Zealand Switzerland Canada Australia Ireland Finland Netherlands Denmark Chile Luxembourg Just for fun, google "famous swiss scientists".
I am saying they certainly could not organize as a group and aid in the effort on their own. Oh wait.....that's because they don't exist on that level. LOL
Wonderful. So those are libertarian countries. Would you like us to be more like Denmark, Netherlands, Canada....etc?
Is it really necessary for you to keep spamming "LOL" at me? I'm just trying to have a mature discussion about politics. Anyway, why can't libertarians organize as a group and commit to their own defense or the defense of others?
I did explain it just before the line you quoted. In very simplified terms, currently, government spends around $5k per person on healthcare and private citizens/organisations spend around $5k per person on healthcare. You are proposing that the government gives everyone a minimum of $10k which at least doubles their expenditure. I'm not sure how clearer I could make it. But you're not talking about people spending their own money, you're talking about them spending government money. How would emergency care work? How would the average person have the information to choose providers? What happens to people who run out of their $10k and need further treatment or even in the middle of treatment? What if they've spent their (first) $10k on elective treatment or unproven procedures? As a side point, you don't need to make a new post for each reply. You can put them all in one.
So serious. Lighten up son. We are not solving the problems of the world. We are having a little fun. I don't know. Why can't they? They have never done so
Actually, I would. First and foremost, those countries are much smaller in scale than the USA. Scaling down the US political system would be a good thing. Secondly, they all tend to have non-interventionist foreign policy, which is a very important element of libertarian ideology.
No, you definitely did not. You just moved the goalposts to governments failing to represent the will of the people.
All I'm asking is that you be respectful. Spamming LOL at me and calling me son is not respectful. You tell me. You're the one who claimed they couldn't. Really? Then what was the American revolution?
Actually they do not operate on a smaller scale.....they are smaller countries. They have nationwide programs that affect every person in their country. We should have the same.
