Nobody is In your misunderstanding. You have to make an effort to understand. You aren't buying your strawman? It's your brain child. Why present it?
I've provided substantive differences between the two philosophical points of view. You've done nothing but pretend they don't exist. I can explain them for you again if you'd like.
Which is fine if you only want to talk about these things in theory and not talk about them in practice. In practice, the concept of God-given rights is going to involve particular concepts of God.
what argument? That religion and super natural and waa waa waa? It's not that i don't understand it. I've wasted enough time arguing that on both sides, i don't care to with you. There will be no nuance. Thus I dismiss it. Dismissal of irrelevant crap isn't the same thing as misunderstand of it. Whenever you get that bug out of your chiminy we can discuss this. But as long as words are so offensive to you we can't habe this conversation. So go on piddling with your pointless argument. I have no interest.
I've tried introducing nuance. You've tried burying in with trolling, like the comment above. You still don't understand the argument if you think that's what it is about. You dismiss it because you haven't understood it. Oh, the superb irony. Nothing I've stated has anything to do with taking offense at the terms involved. I simply observed that a supernatural cause and a natural cause are not the same thing. Not sure how that is difficult for you to process. They aren't. They are antonyms. Or comprehension.
And troinanii and I were talking about them in practice. Once again, just a basic observation. People who believe in God in practice believe particular things about God.
You have presented no argument. There is no universal belief. God or no gods. So to argue they come from any of them is pointless. For all create rights based on each society/god.
No- you pretty much missed the entire message. One lesson that too many people fail to learn in life is that most of the problems that bother them exist only because they never consider that much of what they think they know is wrong... and, are unaware that they don't know what they don't know. Spend most of their lives determined to prove that they aren't wrong, in total denial of facts they are either unaware of or don't understand. Chew on that one awhile. I don't think it will do you any good because it's beyond what I think your capacity is, but give it a try.
There is no nuance in the discussion of whether or not gods exist. No proof gods exist. Yeah i understand that. Out just isn't relevant. me laughing at you for piddling with nonsense? If yippy call that irony. No idea why you keep crowing about super natural crap.
Nor is that even remotely what I was discussing. And also, again, not remotely what I said, nor does it have anything to do with what I said. Try reading that again and see if you can spot the even bigger irony. Still not following? I'll try again. You stated that there was no difference between the concept God-given rights and natural, inalienable, inherent rights. God-given rights would, indeed, be different. They would be supernatural, alienable and non-inherent. Where are you getting lost?
Moving from what the purely useless theoreticals to what this would actually mean when implemented in reality is "pointless." The hits just keep on coming.
It seems to be something you circle back to a lot. See above. A spelling error? What's ironic about that? I deleted all the garbage so you'd see what I'm talking about. WTF supernatral crap are you yammering about?
I haven't brought it up at all. It has nothing to do with any comment I've made anywhere on this thread. See above. Try reading it again. If you would put in the effort to read a full sentence, you'd see. You said that the concept of God-given rights is no different than the concept of natural rights. That has been thoroughly disproven for all who care to actually read instead of troll.
No, it isn't. Why do you feel it is necessary to completely misrepresent people's posts instead of just reading them? I can't read for you.
