DUH, I wasn't the one denigrating other's accomplishments ....and I even know what a "fire escape " is...and you don't
I hope you're just being funny, but a fire escape is the balcony like thing on the side of residential buildings, most commonly seen as either a comic gag or as a way for criminals to escape/cops to pursue on cop shows based in NYC. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_escape
No, fire escapes were invented to allow people to flee a burning building ( Things Really Did Happen Before You Were Born). Renee is NOT the poster who didn't know what a fire escape was. That would be you and doombug who thought a woman invented escaping from fire
I know what a fire escape is I just cannot believe you are impressed by it. You must be equally impressed that I invented running from bees.
Holding the door is just, as so many have already pointed out, basic manners. Man or woman does not really matter, but I guess it is especially important to do this simple task for women, elderly and people with strollers. I've always done this because I was taught to and never have I ever been frowned upon or anything like that. And I have seen many sick things and been "corrected" for the most stupid of things during my time at the Liberal Arts Dep. Holding the door is, thankfully, still acceptable.
I once had a professor who was totally badass, but for some reason, some of my female co-students did not like him and were very loud in voicing this opinion. I asked one of them why and she replied "he feels like one of those me who'd call you baby cakes." Still today, I have no idea what the heck this is supposed to mean.
How much have you done? Still too afraid to use the Google machine and LEARN what women have done.....
No, you indicated that "fire escape" was equivalent to running from bees.....and it isn't... You indicated that this woman invented running from fire when clearly she invented a WAY to escape fire...and saved many lives with her invention....have YOU saved many lives lately? Your denigration of women's accomplishment does NOTHING to discredit them....they are still there, still doing what they've always done despite YOU
This professor never used that term for anyone and the females accusing him for being "one of those" completely out of the blue is what is condescending in this context imo.
They said he was the type, probably meaning condescending. Women having an opinion are not taking things "out of the blue" any more than anyone else.... Look up "condescending"...
If your opinion is based on feel as in "I feel he is the type[...]", then it is taking things out of the blue no matter if it is said by a man or a woman. You are selfish and think everything is always about sexism and misogyny. It is not and you are not in the centre of universe. Grow up! The professor wasn't condescending to anyone. Ever. I attended all of his lectures and saw and heard everything he did and say.
Plenty...try educating yourself and google. Women have been held down for 200+ years but are gaining by leaps and bounds and I know that scares you
NO, it isn't...it's based on their knowledge and association with that professor.....do YOU need to do an indepth psycho-analysis of everyone you have ever had an opinion on? Women don't need to do that either.
There you go with that selfishness again. Can you please stop it? This has nothing to do with gender. Stop being a victim.
