Wolfenstein 2.0 has been released and some have their knickers in a twist. Yes that classic first person nazi shooter first appeared in 1981 on an apple II is getting its umpteenth reimagining. Yet there seems to be outrage at the marketing campaign by some on the alt-right that believe somehow this venerable game is really a subtle call to violence against trump supporters because of charlottesville. http://www.newsweek.com/nazi-video-...is-make-america-nazi-free-again-slogan-679530
glad to see leftists gloryifying gun violence and implying "a certain subgroup of people online" equates to trump supporters in general. Too funny. So you guys dont like guns unless they are glorifying killing people you disagree with. got it.
They really do need to update the game. Not many left who remember WWII. I would like to see a version of "Make America MS-13 Free Again". Slogan "NOT MY CALIFORNIA" or "NOT MY GOVENOR" . Graphics of marching "Antifa" descending out of Berkley on the cover. Of course the heroes would be led by "MILO" and his trusted heroine sidekick "A.C."
Completely unaware of this until now. The slogan does seem to be a subtle call to violence against Trump supporters. Perhaps that is not the true intention, but it certainly is insensitive to Americas small but growing Nazi community.
Allow me to be perfectly clear here; there are few things in this galaxy that anyone could possibly give less of a **** about than the feelings of nazis. I don't give half a thimbleful of **** about them feeling offended by a 35 year old game.
When they are marginalized because of their horrible and inhumane opinions? Nope, don't give a crap. I also don't weep for the orcs in Lord of the Rings when they are slaughtered by the Rohirrim.
do you always twist and misinterpret or is this a one off? I didn't mean to imply that neo-nazi, white supremacist fascist are prominent % of trump supporters. I meant to say it very damn clearly.
Now that you have cleared that up how do feel about abortionists? Just wondered who had more hate of human life?
lol you're a funny dude. So violence is fascist by nature? Any violence is fascism? Or is it only when people you disagree with use violence? "Violence = Fascism" Not only is it a stupid thing to say, YOU DONT EVEN BELIEVE IT! There is absolutely no way you actually believe this, you are just throwing **** at the wall and seeing what sticks. If you really believe "Violence = Fascism" then that would mean our police and military are fascists too, but no, you only use this talking point against people you disagree with. The irony and projection is so strong I can make a cake out of it.
spot on. Its always delicious to point out a leftists stench of hypocrisy. Guns are bad to them...they cite saving lives...as the same people sell aborted human organs for sports car money. Its like these idiots driving around with coexist bumper stickers on their way to violent protests.
see grandpa, you were just an sjw suppressing free so- no i don't want to see the scars you got on normandy beach
I type like that sober too. I use no punctuation when I want an informal and ironic vibe. I was satirizing the idea that Nazis belong in the political mainstream of a country that once fought them
So then you believe in using violence to hinder others from using their constitutional right to free speech if it doesn't conform to your standards? Interesting!
We did not fight the Nazis out of the kindness of our hearts, many of our corporations actually helped them plenty and we only sided with Britain because they agreed to hand their empire over to us in exchange. Besides, there is no inherent rule that two fascists countries/groups cannot fight each other. For example, there are Christian fascists and there are Muslim fascists, but they dont get along very well. Fascism is nationalistic, that causes some natural friction between fascists from differing countries.
Yeah, but in terms of culture the truth matters a lot less than the perception. America has always sympathized with fascism, but I'll gladly let people be wrong if it makes them feel pride in being antifascist.
It gives them an unjustified propaganda tool they dont deserve, since America fought against the Nazis in WWII it gives America an excuse to do fascists acts themselves and claim "but we fought the Nazis!" while they currently fund fascists all around the world and everyone turns a blind eye because "hey, those guys beat the nazis! Such great people! We should never question their moral authority, they would never help Nazis!" But its all fake, we DO help fascists and always have all around the world to a very great extent. America doesnt deserve credit for "defeating fascism" when they actively promoted fascism all across the world before and after WWII. It also gives crypto-fascists a cover to say they arent fascists because they love America, and "America defeated the Nazis!". I just saw Secular Talks video on the Milo video with the Nazis and he said it sounds weird that they are doing the Nazi salute during a song about America being beautiful because "America beat the Nazis! Why would Nazis like songs about America if America beat the Nazis??" He was genuinely confused about this, and its because of a fundamental misunderstanding of fascism. Nobody loves America more than an American fascist, nobody is more nationalistic than a fascist. It gives them cover and confuses people, I think its time to stop the fantasy and stop confusing people.
