I am defensive. I am hard on myself because I know my situation. I don't want to believe in fantasies any more. I've tried and they don't work. Dreams are foolish notions. When opportunity comes, I decide and then act appropriately for my goals. Take a look at what @GuessWho posted about that couple. Dreamy and then reality strikes. Typical...........not meant to hurt you GW.

 

I think that is generally true. But there are quite a few pretty women who who will never take a pretty boy for a spouse.
I think there is a song about it. They are often suckers for somewhat intelligent, ugly hulking beasts who like to talk to them and can intuit their every need and desire - so long as the hulk can cook real good. That has been the key to my happiness - cooking.

 

And the fresh frozen salmon is very good as well.

 

He was the one who was steering the boat. She just made him mad. Never scorn a woman even if your right.lol. He was not a bad guy he was just in pain alot and really mad at her for all the cussing she was doing. She was ok person just not as much character as he had from what I knew about him which. I do know both were very lonely and they seemed relatively happy for two people who always had their way. They learned to give and take after first few years.

 

Yeah! Talk to them like that - they will love you!

So long as you can cook or some other essential thing - like real good.

She probably made him mad on purpose. I'm sure she knew he didn't like a lot of cussing. And that bikini and his comment about it show that she was wearing it for spite. So, there are plenty of issues there. I doubt they were happy. The sex was either nonexistent or close to it. Most just want someone to take care of them, at that age. I'd rather be dead. I've been taken care of when in need and helpless. Yeah, death is preferable.

 

No problem, I think they did better together fighting at times and taking out frustration on each other than themselves alone. They got along most of the time called each other pet names ,etc.
But I knew a relative who met a person online and fell in hell instead of love like she thought.

 

No cooking for them. Been there, and done that. When she came home late from work, it was wrapped on a plate in the fridge for her. All she had to do was heat it up, but she refused and I ended up throwing it out after she brought it home from work, acting as if she was taking it for lunch, or her never touching it.

It's not fair to blame all for her faults, but I'm not interested in taking that chance. I would need paid for doing that. Love is an action word. A deposit into my checking account is a loving action. That's a poor attitude. I guess I couldn't do that. It simply shows how I think now, sometimes, due to her.

 

You may be right. I just went by what she told me. And what I saw on the boat that day. Other visits they were fine. We lived several hundred miles apart so only met him 3 times. She thought being skinny was attractive well maybe but not when your 70!. LOL.

 

I don't know. I've never seen a naked 70 year old woman. I'm 55, so, I have a few years. I guess everyone likes something different.

 

Well my bikini days have been gone for decades. I just told my husband what we were talking about, he said , I don't need that image in my mind,talking about her of course.HAHA.

 

Anyone that difficult should be discarded - instantly. Happiness requires mutual appreciation.

 

Hey, she can do as she pleases, just as anyone. There are many out there who are similar. It's a what can you do for me age. Love is dead. Love in action, like in my example, is alive and well. Also, love in the sense of freedom to choose with whom, when and where sex will occur within a relationship and marriage are "in".

I'm not into that. I'm better off the way I am. So are most men, but it will take time for more to realize.

 

Well, you have to find the right woman.
BTW, you do not cook for women. You do it for yourself. You learn to cook because most good looking women can't cook.
But they do appreciate really good food.

 

Was at my 55th H.S. reunion last summer (yes, I'm old). Anyway, one of my newly single classmates was trying to pick up another of our classmates who was Homecoming Queen our senior year. He didn't succeed, but I advised him to look on the bright side.

She was 72.

 

The problem is, really good looking women aren't attracted to me, and that's okay in the real world. Why? Because they've usually been so poorly treated by men and used for their bodies so often, they are cold, hardened, and immovable. They borderline hate men, but need sex as anyone does. They also desire companionship as anyone.

They are a mess. I'm not saying I'm not.

I don't want a woman who has been that promiscuous. I have never been, therefore we cannot understand each other. It's impossible to love each other in a way that looks like love to them, and when we do, it's so very difficult to continue doing so, because it's a hell of a lot of work. The more promiscuous a man or woman has been, the more likely they are to bail, rather than work on a marriage or relationship. It's sad reality, and I'm sorry to post it like this.

55 is much too young to consider yourself old. Old is 85. When you get there, you can admit to being old... but not before. To an 85 year old, youre a whippersnapper.

We're going to need pictures or this ain't gonna be believed. I look 60. The last 6 years of my life took.......well, more like nearly 10 years off my life. I've been told I look in my early 60's.Truly, almost killed me.

I kid! I lost the top so it will have to be just the speedo bottoms............hahaha.........NO! I don't have any of that. I have a burka. LOL
