    While I am a Type 1 diabetic, and likely you are Type 2, both take some serious adjustments to life. It will be frustrating, you'll fall off the wagon. But at least with diabetes, you have some grace, to bring it back in line and move forward.

    Several T2's I know are doing a keto diet, or some variation there of. Do some research, see if it's an option for you, after you get your levels a little lower. If you need any suggestions or advise, or a shoulder to cry on, just let me know. :)

    I am not crying...I am happy. It is type 2. It just feels good to breathe. I am very fortunate and happy to be alive. I will miss the sweets but I will adjust....Thank you.

    I constantly get emails about ketosis; I guess because I do searches? But the ads kill me: Ketosis made easy! How to achieve ketosis without dieting. Achieve ketosis while still enjoying your ice cream and candy bars. :D

    Eeeesh! All nonsense. Ketosis requires restricting your carb intake to between 25 and 50 grams a day.

    And this: First there was the South Beach diet, then Atkins...

    No, South Beach came out in 2003. Atkins came out in 1989.

    And my missing 70 pounds bounces with laughter when they talk about it being a fad. Almost 30 years is no fad!
