Oh I can dispute your anti semitism but I won’t waste my time, you are too ignorant to realize you made a personal attack.
Of course it is. All those Jewish slave owners...and all those civil rights activists, none were Jews (sarcasm alert) it a “fact” of course what you say is true, you read it in the internet
Jews and Aryans. And it's not just slavery. It's also apartheid. Lets stick to what I wrote instead of what you like to read.
So persons who had nothing to do with it should be punished and held back to make up for it...........really? And again they all go to the same schools why should they simply compete on their accomplishment?
People vividly remember apartheid rule in the US. Heck... the potus was in his 20's when they ended it all.... by law. I doubt the cultural change happened the next day. So much for people who had nothing to do with it all. And they aint going all to the same schools, by the way.
FYI The vice president of the CSA was Jewish. Jews were proportionately represented in both the Army of Southern Conquest and the CSA. ref.: Mark Twain, "Concerning the Jews". I wonder what it was like for a Jewish slave owner in the South during Passover/Pesach. What a conundrum. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Regardless, End gov't racial bean counting! Support assistance to economically disadvantaged without regard for race. End Race Based Affirmative Action. Oh and study why Native Americans on the reservation and Black people in the ghetto chose not to mainstream and find solutions. The solutions are not pre school programs, etc. Nor are the solutions in race based Affirmative Action schemes.
I'm perhaps the most liberal person here. I think they should do away with affirmative action. I understand why they put it there but it's a band aid solution to racism and sexism that only causes more racism and sexism. There are many hiring practices I don't agree with but it should be up to the employer who they want to hire.
Since it was based upon the population percentages being in disparity, we need to know the percentages of population today, by race. Including Hispanics with the Europeans is disingenuous at best, since they were included with African Americans originally, or not at all. I believe you will find that there are many more today than when it was implemented. It probably is time to change it, if the population is within 10%, plus the margin of error. Doing away with it, in my mind, simply means taking a look at it and revising it wholly. Anyone against this, would have to be agaisnt' taking a look at the Constitution as well.
I doubt if you are the most liberal person here. And affirmative-action has proven to be more than a Band-Aid solution. You act as though suddenly there is racism and sexism. It was always there and that is why we had to have affirmative action. As a woman I rather you are sexist holding the door for me to the board room rather than you be sexist denying me access
Years ago while I was in university a job was posted for a groundskeeper. I applied and noticed no one had filled the position after 2 weeks. I knew someone at HR and they said because of affirmative action they were holding the job for a woman. No woman ever applied for that job. That is not the end or the beginning of that story. About a month before some women complained because they didn't get enough pay as what a groundskeeper was making. I'm all for equal pay for the same job but they had desk jobs. They were not out in the freezing cold pouring rain up to their knees in muck and mud. I really believed that their jobs as secretaries and filing assistants did not warrant them the same pay. Of course under this pressure, the university had to hire a female groundskeeper. The bigger problem was no female applied for the job. I would never hold you back from getting to the boardroom as long as you got there on your own strengths and merits. As for holding doors, I hold them for everyone and every single person has thanked me. If a woman thinks it's sexist to have a door held open for her she has way too much time on her hands thinking about miniscule non issues rather than real important ones. Just to add, around the same time I was volunteering as a camera operator. On one night at work I was asked to film a feminist rally called Take Back The Night. I was singled out by a woman that night that shouted out that a woman should have my job. I tried to tell her I was a volunteer but she just shouted over me. I am so glad that all feminists are not like this.
Wow you sure stereotyped. I guess we also have different values. My doctor gets paid a lot more than the groundskeeper and he is in a nice warm office. a schoolteacher probably earn less than a groundskeeper and she has the most important job there is. I also find it very interesting that HR couldn’t find a woman to take the job if it really paid well. I’m a little skeptical there Take back the night isn’t a “feminist” event...it is an anti rape event, women should be able to walk the streets at night. Did you notice the ribbons of those who were raped. I am glad you would hold the door to the board room for me if I am there on my own strengths and merits. Why would you think I’m not? Do you question a mans strengths and weaknesses? If he fails to you blame his gender? And you really think you’re the most liberal person here? I always say you learn about a person by the side of the argument he or she chooses to defend
A year ago I would had voted to ended Affirmative Action without question but that was before Trump took power and the amazing number of bigots that had crawled out of their holes to made themselves known as a result. Sadly at least in the south we still need affirmative action in fact we will need to take further steps such as renewing the voting rights laws back to full strength.
Yes and a doctor goes to school for a long time to achieve his position. A Doctor's skills take quite a while for them to achieve. A doctor is not the same as a secretary or a file clerk. Teachers get more than a groundskeeper here Where in the world does a groundskeeper get more than a school teacher? The job was only a buck and a half an hour more than the secretary job. It wasn't "high" paying but more than the secretary job. It was the middle of winter when they were looking for someone. Not many applied but still if the women on campus were going to make a stink about not being paid the same as another job they better have someone apply for that job or it makes them look like huge hypocrites. This protest was sparked by the killings of Marc Lépine who killed 14 women in Montreal. This was the first event in our city and it was announced that no men should partake in the event so yes it was a feminist event. I believe woman should be safe at night but shutting down men who wanted to support them didn't help. This is from Wiki. My own girlfriend at the time who was a feminist stopped going to this event because of this. No ribbons that first year. I find people who made it to the top of the corporate ladder are usually the biggest jerks out there. They usually stomped on everyone around them to get there and left a path of shady unscrupulous doings along the way. To me getting there on your own strengths and merits is you didn't have to unsavory acts to achieve it and no one handed you promotions or privileges through affirmative action. Years ago I stated that it should be mandatory for all girls to take martial arts. I thought if you had a whole population of women with black belts I was quite sure the level of assault and rape would drop. Nobody agreed with me. You can check any of my posts for verification on my liberalness.
I see you only contribute in racist cussing, without any attempt to debate, because you lose them all. You lot are a dime a dozen on these forums. As stereotypical as the next hasbara troll.
-First of all why would any woman want to be a groundskeeper the way you described it. Most men I know would not want that job. Since a secretary’s job is so much easier, why don’t the men seek those jobs? - garbage collectors in nyc make as much or more than teachers https://www.glassdoor.com/Salary/Ne...bage-Collector-Salaries-E147689_D_KO39,56.htm -Take back the night is a very specific demonstration and it is not because of the death of some guy. Take back the night is strictly for females because of the symbolism. We want to be able to walk the streets at night without needing a man. It is about sexual abuse and rape and domestic violence against WOMEN...so i think you have your rallies confused. I find it interesting that your “feminist” girlfriend wouldn’t go to a rally because there were no men....For some reason I have a hard time believing this (Take Back the Night is an international event with the mission of ending sexual, relationship, and domestic violence in all forms. Hundreds of events are held in over 30 countries annually. Events often include marches, rallies and vigils intended as a protest and direct action against rape and other forms of sexual, relationship and domestic violence. ) -sorry that you stereotype people who make it up the corporate ladder as jerks. Some are, some aren’t. I find the biggest jerks are the ones who are desperate to make it to the top and don’t and they have all this hostility to the successful ones You keep saying that there are those that are not deserving because of affirmative action. Yes I agree because we had affirmative action for white men for 200 years with an incredible networking system. I assume that bothered you - Why the hell should women have to take karate? Why don’t we just train men not to be predators. ...give them harsh consequences. -I am not going to check your post for your “liberalism” but you sound like trump when you say, “you are the most liberal person here” Contents
The racism comes from you and only you, continually. Your idea is that all races but your own are racist while you continue to practice racism at every turn. The only loss is any chance of being taken seriously, which you are not.
Only a handful of people applied for it. A shitty job is better than no job.The point is don't go complaining about the pay-scale of a job you wouldn't even apply for. That's ridiculous. Teachers deserve at least double what garbage collectors make. Not about the death of some guy, it's about a guy that targeted woman and killed 14 of them in a mass shooting spree. You can't be a feminist if you've never heard of Marc Lepine. The shooting sparked more support for the Take Back The Night March. At least in our area. You also seemed to gloss over was the irate feminist demanding that I shouldn't be doing my job (although it was a volunteer position) because she felt a woman should be doing it. Yet there were no woman there to volunteer for the job when they asked for volunteers. The point is do not, no matter who you are, demanding others to relinquish their jobs when you yourself have done nothing to achieve it. I once heard a radio program where a woman was complaining that there were not enough women in powerful positions. A guy phoned in and stated the reason was women are not as cutthroat as men and the type of people he knew that got to the top were not very nice people. It sounded exactly like some people I knew of. Well at least the successful ones can fire them. If woman wanted to join the general workforce 200 years ago, yes it would have bothered me To protect themselves. We do. In some places charges for rape are worse than murder.
In the past, rape was often punished with death, and it is punishable by death in at least 10 countries today: China, Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Bangladesh, Iran, Saudi Arabia, India, Pakistan, and North Korea. In some of these instances, special circumstances apply. For example, rape is only punishable by death in India if the victim dies or is put in a persistent vegetative state, and/or if the rapist is a repeat offender, and in Iran, a death sentence for rape can be substituted with compensation, with or without imprisonment and flogging, if the victim so chooses. I gave you examples, sorry my whole life is not linked on the internet.
I remember when my ancestors were indentured servants so what. Again my kids and now my grandkids go to THE SAME SCHOOLS as the black children. Why should the black children be handed an advantage over them simply because they are black?
Actually most of the countries rarely ever try a man for rape and they also stone the women. But let’s stick to the USA I find it interesting you made a big deal about women complaining about jobs they didn’t apply for...and now you’re saying your life isn’t linked to the internet. Probably because it was bullshit
Has your race been discriminated against for more than 200 years? You see white males have had the advantage of not being denied education and opportunities for generations, It wasn’t even 60 years ago that blacks were told that they were inferior and segregated and were denied equal rights.Do you think because it became illegal that the next day they were seen as equals? No it is going to take several generations. You must also be aware that because white males we’re going to the finest colleges that we denied to others that they have a strong networking system.
If we're supposedly against institutionalized racial discrimination, the obvious answer is to end it.
Unlike your ancestors these people are sill very much alive, and are even governing this country as we speak. I do not care about your personal situation. On average the black community still is very much poorer than white people. And it all has to do than when born in the lower end of the social economic ladder, than the chances that you improve that is just very slim in the US. It is so, because you need a good job to improve this. To get this, you need a good education. To get education, you need money.. lots of it. Something the white people made sure of that black people dont have it.
