When the Donbas militia had 6,000 men trapped in a cauldron at Debaltseve, and they were forced to surrender and go to Minsk for a peace deal, Kiev told the officers to leave and not tell the men they were trapped so they wouldn't surrender.

One of the officers stayed behind with his men, and asked the Donbas militia if his men can leave. They said fine, they can leave if they do not take any heavy equipment. When he told Kiev, they told him to leave first in cars and then have his men follow him in tanks. The men were all killed because they didn't want the militia to get the tanks. 3,000 men died in Debaltseve, and a man who escaped said that most of them died from accidents and friendly fire because they didn't know how to use the guns.

By the way, Russia has a collection of all the crimes committed by the Ukrainians, and they are going to form an international court. It's about time.

What they probably gave him was technical support, because suddenly the militia was able to capture a Ukrainian army and ended up with all the arms they needed.
