Trump has a long history of making claims like this and awarding himself heroism points, as he did Monday.

Trump also has a long history of claiming that he is going to write, or wrote a check, and then not doing so once the reporters and TV cameras go away. He did that during the primary campaign.

Trump is a self promoting liar. A fraud. A man who pretends to be generous when, in fact, he's quite craven.

Trump wants to "correct" market competition by restricting the market through further limiting immigration and imposing government trade restrictions. I oppose protectionism and other forms of economic populism and the accompanying government control that goes with it, while Trump favors it.
