Wow you think it is the biggest issue facing American today, really? WOW, and yet you say you don't care or can't even give a reason for it. That's amazing.
I'm not the one complaining about it all the sudden being divisive. You could print a turkey having sex with a coconut on our money I don't care.

Screw it prove this god or any other exists then and only then should the civil government have this crap in the public life of government until then keep them apart or include ALL religions in ALL case 'In God We Trust' should include ALL deities worshipped in the USA and religions not deity focused including Atheism as a protected philosophy belief system under Federal Law.
Interestingly, yoga is okay, even though it is a religious doctrine supposedly handed down by some god to a human. School students in some places are told to use yoga's meditation processes to calm down when they act out. That's supposedly okay as separation of church and state. Prayer? NO effing way!
This conversation is a really no interest you're crying about a few words on money. Is it really an issue at all?
When you become the emperor you can make the rules. "In God We Trust" has been on US money for 153 years. All money belongs to the government so the big wigs can put anything they want to on it as long as we get some to spend.
The meditation process is not religious when practised as a part of mindfulness. You shot, you missed but, nice try.
Separation of Church & State applies to Our Government not being Legally able to establish a State Religion or Church or mandate anyone to attend services or any Religious order for or against. This in no way restricts any Individual from quiet Prayers over a meal or thanksgiving Prayers etc... Quiet peaceful expressions and Prayer.....
You fallaciously allege that rights are "god given" but can't point out a single one in your bible. On the other hand I can point out that your bible is ANTI-RIGHTS because it is OPPOSED to all other religions so no freedom of religion. It is opposed to freedom of speech and opposes the right to vote for your own choice of leader. Furthermore your bible endorses discrimination and slavery. So there are NO "god given" rights in the bible and since your god does not exist that explains why they cannot be "god given".
Conflating two utterly UNRELATED issues is typical of flailing theists. The DOI only applied to the COLONIES ruled by the British Empire and it was an effective renunciation of that rule for the reasons stipulated. The CONSTITUTION laid out the Law of the Land that defined the 3 branches of government and was amended to INCLUDE the RIGHTS that We the People granted to ourselves. Spending time studying the Constitution and the BoR will be helpful for engaging in these debates.
of course I do, and it was clearly refuted. I also see you conceded regarding the supreme court. well done.
Actually, that was one of the reasons I don't think you understood my point, you were just jerking your knee like you have from the start.
I agree. What if the state sanctioned ObamaCare told you to do yoga style meditation? In my opinion, it's state sanctioned religious practice.
