I already replied to this I already noted that when you're dehydrated, that the chemicals in the bloodstream are also out of balance. You actually die from natrium poisoning in your blood stream that aint healthy for your organs (heart / brain / kidney). And please use my international agreed definition of sepsis shock that I posted. We already agreed you can't be fine if when you're fighting for your life 8 hours later. It doesn't go that fast. Hence they should have noticed that in their medical screening.
Let's fix the problem easily and change the law. All persons crossing into the U.S. AT AN APPROVED BORDER CROSSING may, if they request it, receive a full medical checkup from a certified medical professional.
I already sourced the girl received a medical check, on request. Xena is pushing the goalpost to and what exactly did they all check? The guy is just trolling, with his so called relative arguments about hypothermia and police protection for US citizens.
I suspect an “initial health screening” is not the same as a medical examination. I would draw your attention to the term “medical” and let you figure what the difference could be. I gather 4 BP agents came upon 164 illegal aliens at a BP outpost 90 miles from the border. They did not appreciate any medical emergency then and called for a BP bus to transport the aliens to their nearest facility (which has only 1 bus and is 2 hours away). Still unaware of any medical issues two hours later, they loaded half the illegals on the bus (unaccompanied minors first per BP protocol). That bus went on the 2 hour ride and then took another 2 hours to return for the remaining illegals. About 4 hours after the BP came across these illegal aliens, having sent the unaccompanied minors, they leaded the rest of them on the second bus and only then realized there was some sort of medical problem.
You don't go from passing a health check, to fighting for your life in 8 hours. They should have noticed she was in a bad shape and gotten her out faster. There is no doubt about it. The US authorities messed up incredible. Do note, the girl was in their custody when she got that health check = in their care and their responsibility.
Ignoring the request is not the same thing as replying. Except such is not actually how it works. Even if it did, the unbalancing would not cause sepsis to develop on its own. Stop pretending to know more than the mayo clinic itself. Which has nothing to do with dehydration. Septic shock does not come about unless the individual is already suffering from sepsis, meaning an infection that has been allowed to progress untreated. Except for the fact that the progression of sepsis can indeed go that fast, if not faster. No blood work, no tissue samples, no blood pressure measuring, no temperatures registered. It was not a medical screening that was performed.
It came with an argument. Indeed. The sepsis attack did not develop on it's own. It developed due to being dehydrated. Bravo on that. I already sourced that dehydration leads to natrium poisoning. Stop being so sulky. You don't get that dehydrated in 8 hours. Get over it. You're guessing
Evidently this is what happened here. I think the “health check” consists of passing out those forms where the child’s father checked she was fine, had no diseases, they may have asked her father personally. Critical lefties picture besmocked doctors with their stethoscopes and blood pressure cuffs, drawing and testing blood samples, recording their patients’ height, weight and whatever else was evident. One would expect someone eight hours from death would exhibit clear symptoms, but I don’t know if such is the case with sepsis, septic shock or dehydration (or whatever applied here). Unless you know this “initial health check” was performed by actual doctors (or trained health care providers) capable of recognizing the relevant symptoms and adequately equipped to do so, you cannot show anyone “messed up”.
Except for the fact that such did not occur. Sepsis is the result of a serious infection, not dehydration. No degree of dehydration can cause an infection to occur, nor allow it to progress with sepsis. Salt poisoning is not the same thing as dehydration. Nor is such in any way related to sepsis, or the developing septic shock. One can easily become dehydrated in a matter of a few hours when traveling through a desert region. And this caravan traveled for thousands of miles through a desert. That matter aside, dehydration is not the cause of sepsis, only viral or bacterial infection. No other source that can be cited on the part of yourself will ever claim otherwise As are you.
To confirm, you want to wait for the investigation to run its course and allow for any evidence to come forward?
When did I say that? I'm talking about the irresponsibility of the father. Again, what is the more responsible option? Make as good a life as possible for her in Mexico or take her on a deadly journey through an unforgiving desert which she could easily not survive?
Does anyone know for certain that she was not? that matter aside, the above is nothing more than a list of activities or conditions that can likely cause a person to acquire an infection that will develop into sepsis if left untreated. If the minor in question was not barefoot, any number of other unsanitary activities could have done the same.
I know you feel the need to blame someone. When I put myself in the fathers shoes, I wonder what I would do if I lived in a place with no future for my children. I'd probably leave too.
Is the nation of Mexico, which offered them asylum, work, and whatever else they could provide, actually worse off than the nation of Guatemala?
Did Mexico offer them whatever they could provide? Did Mexico offer them anything? It is besides the point anyway, since their goal was to reach US.
Indeed it did. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-45999610 Mexico has offered temporary work permits to migrants who register for asylum, as a big caravan of Central American migrants makes its way through the country toward the US. The plan also envisages temporary ID cards, medical care and schooling. But to qualify, migrants must remain in Mexico's southern Chiapas and Oaxaca states. The US has warned that about 800 troops may be sent to the US-Mexico border to stop the migrant caravan. "I am bringing out the military for this National Emergency," US President Donald Trump tweeted earlier this week. "They [the migrants] will be stopped!" The president also threatened to cut aid to Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras. The mid-term elections are less than two weeks away and critics say Mr Trump has used the threat of illegal immigration to fire up his supporters. However, the caravan, which set off from Honduras several weeks ago, is still more than 1,000 miles away from Mexico's northern border with the US. The scheme, announced by President Enrique Peña Nieto, covers Central Americans who have officially asked for refugee status in Mexico or are planning to do so in the near future. It is called Estás en Tu Casa ("You're in Your Home" in Spanish). "Today, Mexico extends you its hand," President Peña Nieto said. But he added: "This plan is only for those who comply with Mexican laws, and it's a first step towards a permanent solution for those who are granted refugee status in Mexico." The plan envisages: Temporary ID cards and work permits Medical care Schooling for migrants' children Housing in local hostels But President Peña Nieto failed to explain what would happen to the migrants if they chose to carry on regardless. The Mexican authorities are coming under increasing pressure from the Trump administration to find a solution to this caravan, reports the BBC's Central America correspondent Will Grant in the town of Arriaga, Chiapas. The authorities are trying to tread a balance between placating the US and giving a green light to travel to potential future caravans, our correspondent adds. Simply because someone wants a better life, does not actually entitle them to a better life, especially if it requires taking from someone else in the commission of a criminal act.
That was in regards to the caravan, but those people were not a part of it. No one said so. I simply said I understand if a parents would do something to provide a better life for their kids. It is hard coded in the human gene.
The screening was done by the US authorities, not by the dad https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deaths_of_Jakelin_Caal_and_Felipe_Gómez_Alonzo The Department of Homeland Security issued a statement indicating that DHS personnel conducted an initial screening Please look something up yourself instead of making things up. If a medical check wasn't done by qualified people, than they were done by quacks. That makes the US authorities look even worse. And again, you don't go from passing a health check to fighting for your life within hours. Get real.
Are you still flogging that poor horse? The blame belongs to the alleged father who brought the child here
You demanded me to prove she had a medical check. I proved there was. Instead of admitting that there was a medical check, you choose to push the goalpost. I'm declining it. You trolled enough about hypothermia. It says she died from Sepsis shock, and the criteria of that goes hand in hand with what dehydration causes, You never were able to argue that it doesn't. You even shun to use the international agreed definition of it. Dude.... you do get sodium poisoning when you're dehydrated. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dehydration Dehydration can cause hypernatremia (high levels of sodium ions in the blood) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypernatremia Severe symptoms are usually due to acute elevation of the plasma sodium concentration to above 157 mmol/L[10] (normal blood levels are generally about 135–145 mmol/L for adults and elderly).[10] Values above 180 mmol/L are associated with a high mortality rate It's just retarded how much I need to prove and yet you just keep on denying even though I'm clearly right. You got no clue what you're talking about with your hypothermia.
And yet by relying on the claims of the border patrol personnel that a so-called "health check" was performed, you are simultaneously agreeing with their assessment that the minor in question was deprived of food and water for days during the journey through the desert. It is yourself, and only yourself, constantly referring to hypothermia as if it were relevant to the discussion. Septic shock cannot come about unless an individual has already developed sepsis due to contracting a serious infection. No amount of dehydration will cause this to occur. The international definition does not state that dehydration causes a person to develop sepsis as a side effect of being dehydrated. Where do such high levels of sodium come from? The body does not produce sodium on its own, as it does not have the physical capabilities of such. The only way for such to occur is if one ingests high levels of sodium. Nothing presented on the part of yourself proves conclusively that dehydration causes sepsis to develop in an individual. No citations on the part of yourself back up this assertion being presented on the part of yourself. Therefore nothing has actually been proven on the part of yourself except for a politically-driven narrative that forsakes actual facts.
Yup. And I gave my arguments. Just commenting on your trolling. I sourced what Sepsis shock is, and this is right on par with what dehydration does to you. And ALL this time you did not even know have a clue that dehydration causes blood poisoning. You're just ignorant and trolling around. It says perfectly fine in my source that dehydration DOES cause high sodium levels. And here you rant and troll on that it does not, and you know best. lol This is exactly how you claim dehydration doesn't cause sepsis shock. It does. And in no way did you ever make an argument based on my sources that it does not.
