I guess that explains why all the centers of innovation are bright blue oases. Why Trump's base is mostly without a college education, whereas college educated people tend to vote Democratic. oh wait, this isn't about reality, it is about the conservative irrational hatred of the left. carry on.

Nah. I’m just pointing out no matter how wretched Trump is, and he is wretched, Hillary would have been ultra wretched. Yeah, Trump is heroin for white nationalists, but Hillary is a bullet to the head of the rational mind, and whip on the backs of the productive.

So, though I didn’t vote for Trump, I voted for a write-in candidate, he was still a better choice than Hillary. Though, I must say, it was close to a toss-up as to who would do more harm to the country’s future, and overall well-being.

What I said was true ... for one day. Because of additional announcements from the Trump White House after close of business on Monday, the stock market tanked today. The Dow was off 473 points, Nasdaq 160, and the S&P 48.

Millions of Americans lost millions of dollars in retirement savings today all because of Trump. Sure we might get it back. Then again, maybe we won't. That said, it is better to have in the bank rather than not having it in the bank.

Many still believe this is just another empty threat. Trump needs Wall Street. He needs a good economy. It's all he's got. He can't possibly be that stupid. He will find some excuse to postpone the 25% tariff. He is an expert at it. He has already done it several times.

You are one of those responsible for Trump. Trump won the Electoral College by less than 80,000 votes in MI, WI, and PA. How many millions of Americans tossed their vote away on a candidate who had no chance of winning?

Well, when the choice is between statist on the left and a statist one the right, one prays for a miracle. But reality being reality, Trump won, as America gave the left and the world the finger. Still better than Hillary mooning us.

Threatening China by telling them if they don't do what we want, a 25% tariff will be placed on $525B of their goods is a negotiating tactic.

Broadcasting to the world that Trump will place a 25% tariff on $525B of Chinese goods, causing millions of dollars in lost investments from Tokyo to New York is unnecessary, is mean-spirited, vindictive, naive, and the height of narcissistic behavior to gain attention.

Trump's fans are who largely incapable of defending Trump -- because that is impossible as illustrated above -- should, perhaps, reconsider their loyalties. How can one support a man they can't defend? That makes no sense.

The coming legal battles could stretch into 2020, and the White House is aiming to tie up congressional probes until Election Day, thus making the Trump administration virtually useless for the remainder of its duration.

More and more it is beginning look like the so-called threat from Iran is a manufactured crisis, while a real crisis is looming elsewhere.

On Friday, Pyongyang tested a ballistic missile for the first time in well over a year. It significantly undercut what Trump considered his greatest accomplishment in months-long talks with North Korea: the end of weapons tests. The Pentagon has suspended efforts to retrieve additional remains of U.S. troops from North Korea, due to a lack of communication from Pyongyang.

Trump's reaction? "I believe that Kim Jong Un fully realizes the great economic potential of North Korea, & will do nothing to interfere or end it. He also knows that I am with him & does not want to break his promise to me. Deal will happen!"

Trump is going to place a 25% tariff on Chinese goods Friday creating an economic catastrophe.

Question: Is Trump really that stupid or is he just plain lying to his adoring admirers in Florida and the American people?

Speaking at still another political rally, this time in Florida, Trump said this, referring to his 25% tariff on Chinese goods, "If we don't make the deal, nothing wrong with taking in over $100 billion a year, $100 billion, we never did that before."

Speaking at his Florida rally, Trump suggested the U.S. would be fine if there's no deal and the trade war with China continues.

Who pays that $100 billion? Answer: The American consumer. Companies who buy the Chinese goods initially pay the tariffs. Then they pass that expense on to the consumer!

Donald doesn't know this, or is passing this wretched lie onto his gullible base, thinking they will believe it? Pardon me, but I don't think they are that stupid.

Is this just another con job? Will he back down sometime before Friday morning? If it is just another con, it is a bad one, proving just how poor a President Trump is.

Help this man write his book. He is baiting all of you for quotes to be used in his book. I suggest a fee to each of you who help him write his book. Ask him about books he has written.

We tell Democrats the same thing when they want the rich taxed so heavily. We explain as you did that the consumer pays the taxes back to the Rich.

So far, Trump's fans are avoiding my recent posts, 857 through 859. Why is that?

If you can't defend Trump, why in the world do you support him? Answer to yourself, not me.

Just look at the changes that have been made, Obama Care gutted, regulations reduced and tax cuts were the fuel the economy needed. Buy you'll never admit that it worked. Your party thinks stifling regulations and increasing taxes accomplishes that, 8 years of Obamanomics stagnant malaise proves that doesn't work.

And the Democrats love to brag about the boost to hiring under Obama but hate to discuss the same thing during Trump. And they totally ignore that the ACA set up hiring to bring in workers for a 30 hour week. It helped part time jobs, but put up blocks to full time jobs.

No, I would say Trump's supporters gave America the finger. Because of his incompetence and complete lack of experience, they knew they were voting for chaos in Washington. They got chaos in Washington.

They got a pathological liar for President, whose word can't be trusted and whose government can't govern.

Those who voted for a candidate who had no chance of winning are largely responsible for Trump. Live with it.

Clinton was a moderate Democrat with 25 years experience in Washington as a First Lady, New York Senator, Presidential candidate in '08, and a secretary of state. Despite all her baggage, she would have made a good President.

I am a Republican and, yes, I voted for Clinton, holding my nose while doing so, because I knew the narcissistic blowhard would be a disaster as President. Turns out, I was right about that. He is so bad not even his fans, like Robert here, can defend him.

I've known her longer than you have and I can say definitively that:

    1) Hillary Clinton was no moderate.
    2) There is no evidence she would've been a good president.

I see nothing wrong with the tariffs on Chinese imports. If we're ever going to get free trade with China we have to have a "stick" to go with the carrot. And the "stick" is going to be painful. We can't be held hostage to the chance to purchase cheap Chinese imports ad nauseum.

The "reality" is that this thread from the thread title onward is meant by you to be insulting to Trump supporters. So why shouldn't they avoid it.

Yes, the Trump administration has gutted the ACA, and they have no health plan of their own. You regard that as an accomplishment?

Reduced regulations was a con job by Trump. Find me one recent respected source that attributes our great economy to reduced regulations.

Trump isn't responsible for the tax plan. Republicans in Congress are. They wrote the entire bill. Trump signed the bill. That's all he did. Today Trump is threatening our economy, boasting he will levy a 25% tariff on Chinese goods. That would be a disaster. How much money has your family lost in retirement savings this week because of Trump? From Asia to N.Y., multiply that by millions of dollars and millions of families.

The Great Recession began under a Republican administration. Obama worked eight years trying to get our economy to recover from that. There were 76 straight months of job growth under Obama. The economy rose steadily from 2009 through 2016.

You sound like a typical Trump voter.
