Barney Frank, D‐Mass., the ranking member of the House Financial Services Committee and a staunch supporter of low‐income housing, wrote a highly critical letter urging that the measure not be included in the House‐Senate conference report. Not only had the House committee not examined or approved the proposal, he said then, but the measure also offered no protection against lenders' inappropriately steering people toward these high‐cost loans. Nor did it offer safeguards to ensure that participants "are fully suitable for homeownership."

Apparently, everyone contributed to the housing collapse and Bush had an important role in it as he was the president.

Actually, there was a recession right after Clinton left office and it was severe. A housing bubble, the stock market bubble, the easing of environmental regulations during the Clinton years all contributed to the collapse.
The Bush recession was another thing entirely.

 

And the small, not so filthy rich small business people will bear the brunt, resulting in higher costs and lay-offs.

 

Small business can't handle it and survive. Unskilled labor needs a skill for them to get it.

 

And climate change is not a hoax. It is real.

I have around a dozen skilled trades yet the pay sucks compared to thirty five years ago when we made ten dollars an hour and a two bedroom apartment was $235 a month and gas was .80 cents a gallon. Today gas is four times higher and so is rent but wages are not...
