What goes on in Ukraine is the business of Ukraine.......not the USA. We have had this discussion elsewhere. The ultimate point is that Trump sought the assistance of a foreign power to get a political advantage he could leverage in the USA democratic process.
Corruption is often perfectly legal. Bursima had every right to pay Biden’s son $600K per year to sit on a board even though he had absolutely no experience or understanding of the natural gas business.
Which village do you live in in Australia? I’m considering moving in. Sometimes it feels like it would be awesome to be isolated from all this sh!t.
The next prosecutor carried out the investigation and found the current board of the energy company to be not guilty of corruption or of any violations of Ukrainian law...per an interview with Bloomberg News. The NYT has reported the investigation was restarted in March 2019, but this was denied by a spokesperson for the prosecutor, who left office last month.
Well, if Biden didn’t stop investigation, then we would know if Hunter committed a crime, don’t you think? And Hunter doesn’t even need to commit a crime - he was on a board of a company that could have done something where heavy financial penalties would be inflicted. Biden gained personally by insisting on Ukraine firing Prosecutor general for having very few prosecutions having been on a job for just mere 13 months. That’s real abuse of power.
Possibly, but the former prosecutor who conducted the investigation said Biden's son wasn't with the company at that time.
Which Biden? If it was junior yes, because 1/2 the known world wanted the Ukraine leader to fire the guy. Jr biden did not break any US laws. He did not work for an american company. If I punch a Brit in the face in London, I can't be charged for a crime in the US. Now if Biden jr worked for an American company in the Ukraine and he attempted to bribe a Ukraine official, there are US laws regarding that
It doesn’t matter. When Biden got Ukraine to fire its general prosecutor he benefited the company where his son was the member do the board. That act alone saved the company money on lawyers, from which his son had a direct benefit, which means Biden gained personally from his actions as VP, which is corruption and abuse of power.
Rubbish. That Prosecutor was fired because most of the Planet was up in arms about his conduct, and his replacement was 100% capable of continuing any inquiry his predeceasor was undertaking, if there was evidence he ought to. In any event, as an Aussie with no dog in this fight, I don't care if Biden goes down for some naughty thing. Just like I don't care if Trump does, other than to say most of the same Planet outside of the USA would be very happy to see the end of the grub who disgraces the USA internationally.
Except, Biden was acting at the direction of the President and on behalf of national policy, which apparently coincided with EU and IMF policy (which should be easily verifiable). However, if there is "probable cause," I have no problem with a Biden investigation, just not one involving the President's "personal lawyer."
According to investigative journalist John Solomon, After Joe Biden got the prosecutor Sholkin fired, Hunter Biden's attorneys flew to Kiev to meet with the new prosecutor to "coordinate" the investigation. Minutes of the meeting indicate that Biden's attorneys knew that Sholkin was innocent of corruption. Apparently, that didn't keep him from being smeared ala Donald Trump.
Solomon should turn his evidence over to the DoJ for evaluation. We wouldn't want Biden to be "tried" by media, would we?
The whole planet was against a prosecutor being just 13 months in a job? What is the average investigation/prosecution time on Australia? Is it less than 12 months? In the US I dig up a document from 2013 with stats on prosecution time - in that year out of 71,000 criminal cases, only 20,000 were completed within 12 months. Knowing these stats, how can one expect a prosecutor to prosecute high profile cases (not average rape/murder) in a short period of time? So, anyone capable of critical thinking would see that mass media is lying about a “whole world” being against that prosecutor.
You didn't have to say you were an Aussie. The "rubbish" gave you away. An American would say nonsense Anyway, investigative journalist John Solomon reached out to the Ukrainian prosecutor's office, the Ukrainian embassy, the US State Dept. and Barisma Oil. From interviews and minutes of meetings, he has learned that the first prosecutor,Sholkin, refused to knuckle under to Joe's blackmail stating he was honest. He was told that Joe was withholding $1 billion until he was fired. He was asked to resign "as a patriotic act for the country". Following his resignation, lawyers for Hunter Biden flew to Kiev to meet the new prosecutor. According to minutes of those meetings, the lawyers knew Sholkin was innocent of corruption. They wanted to coordinate the investigation. Solomon has 450 pages of interviews and minutes that he will be posting for anyone to read. Interesting times ahead, mate.
