Mm, you seem eager to attack me rather than my arguments. Nothing wrong with citing a good source for expanation's sake, as I've done.

Now, of course I understand hyperbole. Everyone engages in hyperbole. I just did so in the previous sentence, in fact. But Trump consistently brags about himself and his accomplishments. There is never a time when he does not do so, in fact. It is naïve or wilfully ignorant to dismiss this pattern as mere hyperbole on his part and not an indication of a personality disorder. In fact, he has been engaged in "hyperbole" of this time for as long as he has been a public figure, and his actions bear out his words. He really does think very highly of himself and has always gone to great lengths to control and protect his public image, using his financial means to great effect in the process, and even personally pretending to be someone else so that he could praise himself anonymously.

By your standards, though, it seems no one would be a narcissist or a sufferer of Dunning-Kruger. They would all just be engaged in hyperbole and banter.

Obama, The DNC and Hillary Clinton all colluded with the Russians in an effort to undermine the election in 2016 and to get Hillary elected. It failed and now they are trying to pin the blame on President Trump. It failed so the FBI went after the Trump Administration. It failed again so they went for impeachment and they are trying to derail the Barr and Durham criminal investigation.

It was a coup attempt and it failed.

Exactly. That's why they desperately rushed to impeachment.

    They think they're Staubach.

No, it just means that you don't understand what David Dunning and Justin Kruger were trying to assess when they originally studied and coined the term more than 20 years ago, despite taking the time to look up the definition. Dunning-Kruger effect doesn't only measure cognitive bias or abilities. It measures cognitive bias against ACTUAL performance and abilities.

For example, if someone rates themselves as an expert CMP Marksman when their performance suggest that they're a sharpshooter at best. Or claiming that you're familiar specific terminology involved in science, mathematics and physics, despite the terms being completely made up. That's the Dunning-Kruger effect. It's having poor meta-cognition. It's not synonymous with having a low IQ, nor is it synonymous with narcissism.

That's cute you truly think that's why Trump won.

The real reason Trump won was because Hillary ran as the second coming of Obama. People were sick to death of Obama and had no interest in voting for Obama 2.0

But sure, blame it on the handful of Dems who make their voting decision based on Facebook memes. Orange man bad!!!!

Your "strong" Republican party was built on Russian disinformation disseminated in part through Facebook. You were already primed for all of the anti-HRC and pro-Trump disinformation that hit when the 2016 campaign got underway.

Trump has a cognitive bias against his actual performance and abilities, though. It fits perfectly. But you say it's just hyperbole and banter.

Nice to see Putin lobbing political grenades into the US. The guy is the worlds biggest troll. He knows anything he says about the process will now cause more chaos in the US system.

Just mind boggling that some on the Right actually support him or think he is a reasonable guy without any ulterior motives.

All Putin needs is more people in the US hanging on his every word. That makes you useful.

You forget I'm not even a Republican. I voted for your messiah in 2008. (Talk about voter's remorse!) You think I'd be dumb enough to vote for him twice, or vote for his Clinton counterpart? :roflol:

Trump didn't just win extremists, he won moderates and Independents too. It might do the left good to remember that.....

You Democrats need to own your failures, not blame it on Russia or Facebook or pretend it's just fringe people who support Trump.

When Putin's comments are more rational and objective than the left's, the Democrats are in trouble.

So, in your mind, someone who is knowingly engaging in hyperbole and banter can simultaneously believe in the same hyperbole and banter... How does that work?

I like it when he is candid about his support for Trump, actually. The same Russian president who vociferously opposes American policy in almost every respect defends and supports Trump against the Democrats.

Of course he does. We'll know when Putin gives up on Trump; that's when he releases the tapes.

You say it is hyperbole and banter, I say it is indicative of personality disorders. Not that the one necessarily excludes the other, however. He obviously speaks in hyperbolic ways, but the question is his motivation for doing so. No other president has felt it necessary or appropriate to behave the way Trump does, and Trump's behavior is consistent with how he has spoken about himself in years past. He has always been visibly in love with himself.

Well, I don't give a damn what Putin says and refuse to be his messenger. Im sure he appreciates your efforts. He asks that you share this on FB.

I do respect the opinions of the many Russian-Americans I have the privilege of calling my friends.

Blame Ukraine for Russian interference in the 2016 election, pull the US out of trade agreements and otherwise weaken our position globally, take the pressure off of Russia to get out of Crimea while they fortify it, hand Syria over to Russia on a platter, leave Iran to rely on Russia and get involved in Syria as well, drive China and Russia together as strategic allies against us and Europe, alienate us from our NATO and European allies and threaten these existing alliances (Germany is becoming more vocal in their opposition to Trump's retarded threats lately). All on top of publicly siding with Putin on the matter of Russian meddling in our politics (Helsinki) and inviting Putin to the White House before mysteriously rescinding the invitation. Oh, and pushing to get sanctions lifted on Russia, especially early in his administration.

Question is, what has Trump done to displease Vladimir Putin? They never spar over anything. They've got nothing but nice things to say about one another.

Nice try; all of the (valid) points can be described as benefiting America first or be a part of US foreign policy with may or may not benefit Russia too.

I can pick each and every statement of yours apart; I assume one be enough?

Yes, Ukraine interfered in US elections.

...Ukrainian government officials tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump by publicly questioning his fitness for office. They also disseminated documents implicating a top Trump aide in corruption and suggested they were investigating the matter, only to back away after the election. And they helped Clinton’s allies research damaging information on Trump and his advisers, a Politico investigation found...

Can you find something that all the previous 44 Presidents have had in common that Trump does not have in common?
