I cannot comment on anecdotal evidence except to say that it is anecdotal.

And while I'm sure there are rare instances of healthy people being taken by this virus, the operative word is rare.

Meanwhile, MILLIONS of people have lost their jobs, their businesses, their freedoms. But they don't matter, right? They just have to accept whatever restrictions are placed on them.

Fine. Let NYC shut itself down. But the rest of the country needs to get back to living normal lives.

The only common trait shared by the ruling elites is their lack of common decency and humanity.

Sounds about right, from what I remember...

Ha Ha... I keeed... I keeed...

We actually did visit Wyoming for a day, about 7 years ago... Day trip from a VRBO we rented in Estes Park in August... Walked around historic Cheyenne for several hours, plus State Museum, then visited a Bison "ranch" on the Colorado line in the afternoon.

Very nice day! Scratch that off my bucket list..

I don't give a crap about NYC. It is a cesspool of corruption and incompetence. If they want to live under a Democratic police state, then let them.

But the rest of the country is not required to follow NYC's example. The rest of the country is not required to live lives of fear and servility.

There is no state clear of the virus, they all have asymptomatic virus carriers spreading the disease and since testing has ONLY concentrated on those showing symptoms, we have absolutely no idea how many are carriers of the virus to others.

    Why not 900 a day? Or 500 a day? Or 200 a day?

Because math? Are you referring to the now debunked doomsday models that were used to justify this idiotic lockdown?

Why should I? I'm not the one trying to control your life. If you want to hide inside your house for the next 18 months, then be my guest. I won't stop you.

Using your logic, we can avoid all risk by staying home forever! A guy hears that 90% of auto accidents happen within a mile of where you live. So he moved!

Were you trying to make Trump look bad with your post? The pot and the kettle had a similar exchange!

And no matter how long the population hides from it will undoubtedly resume its feeding once they come out of hiding..

Not ready to start filling stadiums but let's get some businesses back open. Have guidelines for businesses that involve social distancing and other sanitary means. Let's look at parts of the country where there are relatively no problems. Quarantine for those who are sick or who have come in contact with sick people as well those who are highly susceptible to the virus' effects. It would not be a simple plan but what we're doing now is destroying so many people's lives. I like that they're working with the governors to find solutions for their states and not just having a national solution as there are very different situations in different regions.

The overwhelming majority of the population is at virtually no risk from this virus.

The real problem is the draconian restrictions on basic freedoms along with the destruction of our economic vitality.

You mean untermenschen... They really lacked empathy, don't they.

People seems to forget that the prime justification for any system should be to benefit the humans. The system exist to serve us, not the other way around. If the present system can't work for us then it's time for it to go and be replace with something else, just like other failed system, monarchy, communism, dictature, etc., have failed and been replaced. Maybe mesuring the value of an human being with money isn't working for us anymore. Maybe national pride is a distraction and toxic to human growth. Maybe spending billions on weapons and professional sports while hospitals close and labs lack funding isn't all that bright either.

Anything less than 1,000 a day is still somewhat able to be controlled... and it's a round number.

No, because that's how exponential numbers work. I've said on this board for months we'd have millions infected. We're well on our way.

Speaking of those numbers, THANKFULLY they've been revised down, because if they hadn't been, what was the point of the lockdown?

Make sense? We're closing in on 50,000 deaths in the US after weeks of lockdown. Imagine if we had done nothing. Is 500,000 deaths acceptable to you? Or can you not answer that?

You shouldn't. You should answer my question with a question, to which I answered, then run and hide.

    That's what you should do.

Nobody is forcing you to stay indoors. Go be free. You
