If you look at the math, if you’re under 50, healthy, without the known preconditions that interact badly, your chance of death is insignificant. Obviously don’t go hugging your elderly parent or anyone not in your inner circle for the time being. Otherwise, mask yourself, keep your distance, wash hands regularly and this will work itself out. Most of the country can work under these relatively easy rules. It’s NOT brain surgery or complicated. I prefer millions NOT unemployed, a stable stock market or the ridiculous debt we’re in because all our fearless leaders on ALL sides trusted doctors who know they’ll never be criticized for being paranoid. Doctors/researchers can always overreact and get away scott free. We closed down, fine. We saved the hospitals from being overrun while bankrupting them at the same tome. Fine I guess. We obviously ****ed our selves financially. NOT fine. We saved lives? Possibly. But No one will really know. We could have not shut down and we’d be at a similarly place as now, but without the financial destruction that will take years to recover from.
