I'm very much a capitalist, but what we have today in this country is capitalism run amok to the point of fascism.

Large corporations with a history of mismanagement being bailed out by the taxpayers is not really capitalism, it is fascism. Now that it's been going on for several decades, it's safe to say we have a fascist situation.

 

I can't totally disagree, and I agree there are serious problems. And I strongly believe in free market capitalism.
Some corporations are getting so large and powerful they can literally buy politicians and gain undue influence over governance.
This needs to be put in check, but instead it runs rampant.

Not only large corporations being bailed out....but horribly mismanaged STATES as well. States that bend over backwards to over compensate government employees
and lavish them with pensions and benefits that can't possible be afforded. Then get bailed out by taxpayers.
To me, that's even worse than corporate welfare.

Once corruption sets up it is extremely difficult to go back to a fair and honest system.
That said, corruption does not need to be fostered by big business. It is a natural product of human greed.
It will occur even in the absence of corporations and their large and complex structure.

Before the dust settles, the ACTUAL COVID-19 death rate will be far FAR less than the fear mongers claimed.

One hypothesis: Most people defeat the disease swiftly via the innate immune system, before there’s even time to build antibodies. Are those people immune to reinfection? Given the draconian shutdown, the DNC has shown complete disregard to the nation and citizens and I can't believe Democratic voters continue to forgive these transgressions.
