Twitter locks Trump’s account following video addressing Washington rioters

First, I think this move is for 12 hours, only, they said so a few days ago, if Trump should do such a video.

For those who argue this is anti-first amendment, you have to realize that free speech is not an absolute right.

You do not have the right to fan the flames of a large group to do what they did today, which, clearly, Trump did.

I support Twitter on this move, for public safety Trump's trumps free speech, especially in a privately owned forum.

The irony is this: Trump wanted to repeal rule 230, which, if accomplished, would have made Twitter complicit in his sedition. The point being, nothing would more assure getting his account cancelled if he achieved getting 230 repealed.

Deliberate misinterpretation since the SECURITY CAMERAS monitored the whole thing, all day, regardless of how many people were in the room at any given time and nary a suitcase to be found. Then the run three times? Seems its a batch process so if one ballot in a batch doesn't track they have to run the whole batch again. It doesnt count it three times and if it did the count would be higher than the number of ballots.

No surprise that that the white racial segregationist and corporate -fascist Jack Dorsey banned Trump from calling for an end to the protesters/rioters telling them to go home in peace. Of course Dorsey of Google wanted that.

 

yep, it amazes me how many still do not understand what removing section 230 would do, if a site is legally responsible for our posts, they will censor posts on the side of caution, and we will see censorship like never before - but their Messiah Trump says they should want it

Its more than just a 12 hour suspension. Twitter has declared a link between tweeting about the election being /cough 'stolen' and the violence of these rabid thugs so now its possible that if Pres Trump ever tweets about the /cough 'steal' again he'll just face more and more suspensions.

Yes, freedom of speech do not cover shouting fire in a crowded theater, but:
1. the analogy is not correct
2. it is very inefficient because Trump's messages will be picked up by some TV stations and web sites
3. it will give 74 millions Americans conviction that the left media censor their beloved president.

It was a sad day, I don't believe Biden or someone else can fix this problem.
