Mongolia, maybe. Siberia? Russia won't let them have it.
Maybe you'd like to have your city nuked. Canada was part of the Manhattan Project.

But his priorities are rational even if we disagree.

That's a question you should ask yourself since I'm the one who believes in freedom and human rights, while you have no idea of the values our nation was built on. It's a pity because you're enjoying those rights, while trying to destroy them in other nations as well as in our own.

I dost believe that to be free
we shouldn't give our guns to thee.

And thus protect our house and home
from all of those who like to roam,

    like animals so angrily,
    who tellest us so blatantly,

that we should never dare to stray,
for only they should have a say,

in what we do, but not as we please

while forcing us upon our knees,

to worship gods of lust and greed,
and things that we can never heed.

Now these are things we did not choose
And freedoms something we can't lose,

to liberal laws and swords so cruel
and brandished about by those who rule - Jeannette

You mean like Obama did with drones? Or rather the type like George Bush whose goverment established a torture camp in Guantanamo? You mean murder like Salvador Allende was murdered with the support by the CIA? You mean murder like the Sicialian mafia commits it to which Berlusconi had good relations to? Or do you talk rather about "suicides" by the Jeffrey Epsteins when there is the danger for high ranking politicians?

You mean these honourable guys? Why does Putin lack their kind of honour?

Who is that 'everyone'? Obviously the Russians don't think so, nor do the Chinese, Syrians, Iranians, Serbians, etc., etc., etc. You seem to think the whole world consists of a brain washed few? This is how I know Vladimir Putin:

Depends upon what you see as rational. I don't think his actions benefit the Russian people.

Wake up to reality. Russia took months to help free Aleppo from terrorists so as to protect civilian lives as well as the Western agents who were embedded with the terrorists - and yet the US freed Raqqa in 3 days.

Same with Mosul in Iraq. There they told the people not to leave since they have precision bombs. The thousands of bodies laid unburied for months.

    Our 'humanity' has become legendary.

The Washington Post should be investigating/reporting mysterious deaths happening in the USA, like the many mysterious deaths related to the Clintons.

But as it said... it's a medium of US propaganda... NOT real investigative journalism.

They might some. Putin is clearly very much like Trump in that he sees a close identity between his interests and Russia's and that is almost inescapably true. Russia is clearly much wealthier than it was when Putin came to power and so is Putin, who may be the world's richest man by some accounts.

Thats fairly delusional. All the leaders in the un g7 etc are gangsters. You have to be a crook to make it to the top in politics in this day and age. Its a real shame hiw we ended up here.

I didn't say run. I said get out of their backyard. See what they do. I said it was a risk. If they attack a sovereign country, without cause, you react strongly. Deployments to Latvia, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, etc..

Our positioning of forces would be like Russian vessels constantly patrolling around the Panama Canal. The waters near Crimea are an important choke point for Russia. We shouldn't choke unless we have to.

So taking countries territories by force doesn’t qualify for a “choke”

But it doesn't matter what you think, it only matters what the Russians think - and the majority want and trust Vladimir Putin. No one has the right to impose their own standards and beliefs on other people, no more than they have a right to impose their own standards on us.

This by the way, is one of Vladimir Putin's beliefs and why Russia is respected among many nations in the world, and we're not. It's also why he refuses to bow to the West's arrogance among other things.

Utterly false. I don't recall the U.S.A. being built on the idea that everyone should be entitled to their own piece of territory (the essence of "self determination".)

Texans speak English. Spanish has recently become a secondary language due to massive Latino immigration the past few decades.

Texas was mostly a wilderness owned by Spain which also owned Mexico. Spain and Mexico urged Anglo-Americans from the USA to settle Texas. That's why historically it has been called Anglo Texas. After Mexico won it's independence from Spain in 1821, it changed many of its laws and began a draconian oppression of Anglos in Texas. That was why Anglo Texas revolted against Mexico and won it's independence from Mexico in 1836 [15 years after Mexico won its independence from Spain.]

Northern parts of the what is now the state of Texas was owned by France until President Jefferson bought it from Napoleon in 1803 as part of the massive Louisiana Purchase. The Louisiana Purchase doubled the size of the USA and gave Napoleon money to further his invasion of Europe.

Hitler's argument for moving into Austria and Czechoslovakia. Putin is in great company.
Sure. Ukrainians, one and all, can decide to join Russia if the Russians would have them.
Let's see if the KGB thug has the gonads to attack a NATO country.

I was told they took it by force. I was also told a lot of lies in the last few years. I'm not totally convinced that Putin is on a taking countries spree. Yes it's shady, but so are a lot of things I've heard out of Ukraine.

Even Russians know he's a thug.

It's akin to Pravda where the government lied, readers knew it was a lie, Pravda knew readers knew it was a lie, and readers knew Pravda knew readers knew it was a lie.

The government was telling citizens we can lie to your face and you can't do anything about it.

I have concerns over the corruption as well. I learned from the Hitler experience though. You cannot sit idly by as great powers gobble up smaller ones. If you ignore it for too long your opponent can gain a position that is difficult to challenge. The how would be at a minimum defensive capabilities, including cyber, so that simple things like power outages can't be used for leverage.
