Who expects that? I certainly don't! My entire purpose is to get YOU to accept that women are fully responsible for their own bodies, and know exactly what they're doing. I say nothing at all about the quality of their decisions, as that's entirely beside the point.
I'm not an 'anti-choicer'. I'm chiming in to rail against the misogyny you force yourself into when you refuse women full bodily responsibility. When you insist that these pregnancies are 'unwanted', you are literally saying the woman didn't realise that sex could lead to a pregnancy.
No, you are. No where have I refused "full bodily responsibility"....that phrase, , like most of your statements, is something you made up... I have never said women didn't realize that sex could lead to a pregnancy.....breaking the rules again with "putting words in my mouth".....the ONLY way you can argue. So you're not an Anti-Choicer? Then why are you for FORCING women to gestate? That is what Anti-Choicers want...
I have never said women aren't responsible for their own bodies, quite the opposite.....and YOU CAN'T AS USUAL PROVIDE ANY PROOF I DID....so you know what that makes you
Their being human and having a normal sex drive....I doubt you'd understand, you don't appear, from your statement here, to know why women have sex...
Then look at Guttmacher stats above - most are living below the poverty line a large majority already have one child. Now in countries with strict abortion legislation women will seek out backyard abortionists KNOWING that the outcomes may be grim. Can you guess what might motivate them to choose disability or death over another mouth to feed?
Do they “know” that? How many are caught out by misinformation? I can no longer count the number of people ON THIS FORUM ALONE a who I have had to educate in relation to the risk with condoms. How about medication interaction with the pill? Happens you know. Then there is that “locus of control” thing where she is in an abusive relationship or is submissive and HE wants her “barefoot and pregnant” but she is the one having to find the money to feed the kids. Choice of pregnancy is not always within the woman’s complete control
By 'ordinary' I simply mean not 17 year old homeless girls. None of this is about individual post conception circumstances.
So you agree - women have total and absolute responsibility for everything that happens to their bodies?
What does that have to do with anything? We're mammals .. we have all kinds of urges we have to marshal in order to live in harmony in society, and even just to survive.
ONE : crank said: ↑ What drove their decision to risk a pregnancy?""""" TWO : FoxHastings said: ↑ Their being human and having a normal sex drive....I doubt you'd understand, you don't appear, from your statement here, to know why women have sex... WHAT! YOU asked the question!!!! See "ONE above...then go to TWO...can you follow ??? We are HUMANS............I doubt you'd understand, you don't appear, from your statement here, to know why women have sex...
FoxHastings said: ↑ I have never said women aren't responsible for their own bodies, quite the opposite.....and YOU CAN'T AS USUAL PROVIDE ANY PROOF I DID....so you know what that makes you Yes, WHY DON'T YOU ???? Women have responsibility for their bodies just like men do.
I have answered that poster's question a dozen times....seems she just wants an argument for arguments sake.. I can hold that position, and always have, because ""women have total and absolute responsibility for everything that happens to their bodies"""
So you admit that when women get pregnant when they did not want a baby, they usually have some fault in the matter? It was their responsibility to control their bodies, and now they have some blame if the fetus is destined for termination.
Limitation of the polling set up on the board. So the first two are based on real cases - you would deny them an abortion?
They may or they may not simple women are human - and most often the fault is that she trusted the man too much “oh! Don’t worry honey! I know how to use a condom!”
And I have proven that the vast majority of women seeking abortion are living below the poverty level. Often pregnancy in that circumstance means they will become homeless or be unable to feed the existing children they have - and how do I know that? It is because where abortion is restricted infant mortality rises which means the morbidity rates will also rise. It is not only women who can be trapped in a cycle of poverty but the families as well https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2352827316300064 https://www.mdpi.com/1660-4601/17/11/3773
Right ... so when women choose to risk a pregnancy, you can't say they didn't know .. or that the outcome was 'unwanted'.
They're mutually exclusive propositions. Either you're too poor to risk a pregnancy, or you're privileged enough (in means OR mind) to throw caution to the wind.
People on the left seem to forget that adoption is an option. Backyard alley abortions are never necessary in the USA. No one expects a mother to carry if there is a known risk to her life with the exception of a few extremists. Also, a body without a brain is not a person.
